I can see howe you would come to that conclusion. Seems as though this club is always in harmes way.

I'll let myself out.

His silence is deafening

He has rarely said anything since he came to the club, was his silence that loud in the 6 months previous to now?

I was just having another look at the clubs entry into the total lack of care awards and I found a cryptic clue as to where the proof reader was when this was put on the site.

Have a look at the scarf, SNOW.

A statement perhaps, but a presser, NO. Half you blokes would be using software to see if his eyes narrowed when he said he was staying at MFC or looking for negative body language when he responded to the obvious sort of questions that would be asked.

Oh my apologies it felt like he has been around the club for longer. But he has been under 2 premiership coaches in roos and thompson. Its good he will be here for 2 seasons and he will have a good look at the players and what he has to work with.

Is Goodwin so good it matters to keep him?

What part of our current performance is his responsibility?

as roosy said Adelaide had the chance to get goodwin when they were looking for a coach before they got Walsh. But it would be good for him to come out and say im staying.

From Barretts 'Sliding Doors' column

If you sign a guy to a five-year deal - two years as an assistant coach and three as senior coach from 2017 ... ...

you know the deal is watertight. But you know the Crows will be making the call anyway.

Sounds like old Damo is just speculating as per usual. Such a [censored].

Most assistants have a clause where they can break contracts early for a direct promotion such as a senior role, i can't imagine goodwin would have that clause

Posted

I think any contract coming from PJ would be watertight

Water tight or not what would PJ and company do if he came to them tomorrow and said " I have been offered the Adelaide job and I would like to be released"

Would be say No you have a contract and force him to stay at the MFC when his heart clearly wanted go back to SA.

I would have him out so fast his nose would bleed.

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the
