I'm Stickin to it, seriously his last three weeks have been PUTRID!

Anyone's up IMV

So if Danger want to leave and Mc Donald plus others is on the table and a deal can be struck you would knock it back!??

Posted

Sorry for sour note, Mc Donald has had a wretched 3 weeks

IMV Brainfades becoming more frequent! Happy to trade him for something better next season!

Yeh, there aren't many better options under 25 for key position back/ probably not many better in the comp. Despite having some poor form in the last few weeks, he was not too bad this week.

Completely irrational post

I don't disagree, you are. But seriously, who would we be available to trade for that is better, in your opinion?

I honestly don't see what has given you the thoughts that he is not going to be the future of our key back stocks

All 17 other clubs would definitely look to trade him in

Brayshaw - Suck [censored] Thurlow!!

Brayshaw - remind me....how many years has he been on our list? How many preseasons?

OMG - when he gets a few preseasons under his belt and a few games up he could be ok!!

Whilst I'm happy for the great win, they still have to sort out the kick ins, Dunn nearly always plays on right side and bombs the ball down the line, to predictable top sides wait for that and set up for it, having said that wasn't it great to see Jones come on and tell them a minute and a half to go, seems we can learn something after all.

Riley - some useful touches

Pretty generous considering he had 3 handballs and 0 tackles

Did well in the second half. Still a work in progress, going to be some misses along the way, but the upside is enormous.

Another pearler from PF.

You don't look at what happens over 3 weeks to decide what to do with a player, you look at what happens over 3 years.

Begs one question....Whats with McDonald?

He was ok...

Now that we're getting the ball in our forward half it's good if our defenders have a quite one from time to time...

BTW, Stevie J did a very good dive, on the replay he totally went for it when he felt the hand and the ump was sold the candy.

N.Jones - captain great captain

Dunn - stood up brilliantly

Watts - continued important role

Toumpas - quiet before subbing

Dawes - provided great contests

Viney - superb all game

Lumumba - fine rebounding game

Brayshaw - dynamic and exciting

Gawn - career best game

Tyson - looked more comfortable

Stretch - played his role

Cross - important in contests

Vince - prolific all day

McDonald - was rarely sighted

Riley - some useful touches

Neal-Bullen - can find ball

Garlett - perfect scouting game

Howe - 2 brief cameos

Jetta - didn't imbue confidence

Spencer - perfect Gawn foil

Bail - was rarely sighted

M. Jones - improved with confidence

Couple of minor things.

Bail=first time he did a job and completed it without losing concentration and letting opponent off the hook.

Spencer=played his best game and centre shutdown off opponents and not letting ball out of area was his best, also flew for marks down forward and had to be covered by geelongs spare down back, allowed others to run onto spillages.

Jack Watts=has been written many times about his momentum clangers, provided 2 yesterday which had people hanging their heads and hoping it wouldnt effect the result.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
