Discussion on recent allegations about the use of illicit drugs in football is forbidden
  • IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING

Posting unsubstantiated rumours on this website is strictly forbidden.

Demonland has made the difficult decision to not permit this platform to be used to discuss & debate the off-field issues relating to the Melbourne Football Club including matters currently being litigated between the Club & former Board members, board elections, the issue of illicit drugs in footy, the culture at the club & the personal issues & allegations against some of our players & officials ...

We do not take these issues & this decision lightly & of course we believe that these serious matters affecting the club we love & are so passionate about are worthy of discussion & debate & I wish we could provide a place where these matters can be discussed in a civil & respectful manner.

However these discussions unfortunately invariably devolve into areas that may be defamatory, libelous, spread unsubstantiated rumours & can effect the mental health of those involved. Even discussion & debate of known facts or media reports can lead to finger pointing, blame & personal attacks.

The repercussion is that these discussions can open this website, it’s owners & it’s users to legal action & may result in this website being forced to shutdown.

Our moderating team are all volunteers & cannot moderate the forum 24/7 & as a consequence problematic content that contravenes our rules & standards may go unnoticed for some time before it can be removed.

We reserve the right to delete posts that offend against our above policy & indeed, to ban posters who are repeat offenders or who breach our code of conduct.

WE HAVE BUILT A FANTASTIC ONLINE COMMUNITY AT DEMONLAND OVER THE PAST 23 YEARS & WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS THE CLUB WE LOVE & ARE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT.

Thank you for your continued support & understanding. Go Dees.

Ok been a long time critic and so even though this is one of the worst loses I can remember I must make mention of his effort today!

I thought he was terrific today, won outside and more importantly for me, inside ball and made mostly some good decisions!

I hope he can go on from here because if what he provided today can be continued, then his place in the draft and promise to be lived up to will be vindicated. 1 great game in three years ! Lets see what he offers next week!

And before you start gloating Dazzle man, get stuffed!!

You'll jump off him straight away the moment he has one bad game.

You are way too predictable.

He was OK. I'm still shocked at his poor decision making on occasions under pressure.

I expected a game like this as virtually a bare minimum a couple of years ago, so I'm hardly going to go into raptures now.

He still panics under pressure but what's impressing me with Toumpas is that he's starting to work harder and racking up the footy as a result. That third quarter was nearly as good as any individual performance this year.

So you were expecting a game like this in his first year after his hip operation and interrupted pre season?

OK...

Had a great game as did Watts (in his physicality).

I said in the middle of the week it would be interesting to see how he would go given that most of his games this year were against good opposition.

Really really don't want to see another high draft pick wasted - was much more composed and aggressive today well done!

So did you predict that I would start a post Dazzle ?? Nup?

You are the predictable one!

Mate clearly, you bag all of my posts, then when I actually give some praise to a bloke who I have bagged, you turn it into your own pusillanimous crusade!

You, my friend must have a sad life!

Sad !

26 touches, 8 tackles and 2 goals is a bare minimum?

For a player who was in his first year' a couple of years ago'?

You are a [censored].

If he plays like this every week (and he won't, but you know what I mean) then it's huge for the club going forward. We drafted him for his elite footskills and creativity, today we saw it on display. He had been building towards a breakout game but today we finally got it. Well done Jimmy and well done picket fence for giving him his due credit.

Three out of four games possessions in the twenty. Mid teens the other against port with only two players in low twenties. He runs hard, reads how it's unfolding, always looks for someone and a lovely pass. We need a player like that desperately. Along with viney it is shaping as a good year

Covering your rrrse picket with a weak compliment, which is really another one of your pathetic backhanders, to a player who is starting to get a bit of the ball and show form. No one is gloating, but plenty are praising him for his effort today, regardless of where he was taken in the draft or how he's played previously. Not you though, typical.

I'm finally seeing the player who we recruited, shame it's taken so long for things to click but he's running around with a lot more confidence. Still has his flaws but looks a lot more eager to amend them now

Wasn't it a third quarter blinder 14 possessions at 100% efficiency? He will be getting a tag at that rate.

Good game by the Toump, let's see him continue on with it.

I love the way he uses tackling to get himself into the game, 8 tackles is a great effort, add two goals and that is a great effort.

Still needs some composure, but the rest of the team doesn't have it so you can't expect him to lead the way with it.

Nup not covering any of my arse! Even though kids on the beach stop and stare "Mummy why isn't that whale wearing a bikini!'?

Just paying due credit for what I said was his best game yet!

Could easily have said nothing but since I bagged him for previous efforts, you do need to acknowledge a bloke when he plays well!

Shhesh damned if I do and clearly damned if I don't!

Typical Demonland!

He's had a solid month of footy now. He's showed this kind of form before, his game in his first year against Geelong in the wet was an eye opener. Hopefully he can continue to show form like he did today and prove all the critics wrong. Good onya Dimitri!

    DISCO INFERNO by Whispering Jack

Two weeks ago, when the curtain came down on Melbourne’s game against the Brisbane Lions, the team trudged off the MCG looking tired and despondent at the end of a tough run of games played in quick succession. In the days that followed, the fans wanted answers about their team’s lamentable performance that night and foremost among their concerns was whether the loss was a one off result of fatigue or was it due to other factor(s) of far greater consequence.  As it turns out, the answer to

TIGERS PUNT CASEY by KC from Casey

The afternoon atmosphere at the Swinburne Centre was somewhat surreal as the game between Richmond VFL and the Casey Demons unfolded on what was really a normal work day for most Melburnians. The Yarra Park precinct marched to the rhythm of city life, the trains rolled by, pedestrians walked by with their dogs and the traffic on Punt Road and Brunton Avenue swirled past while inside the arena, a football battle ensued. And what a battle it was? The Tigers came in with a record of two wins f

    GAMEDAY: Rd 07 vs Richmond

It's Game Day and the Demons once again open the round of football with their annual clash against Richmond on ANZAC Eve. The Tigers, coached by former Dees champion and Premiership assistant coach Adem Yze have a plethora of stars missing due to injury but beware the wounded Tiger. The Dees will have to be switched on tonight. A win will keep them in the hunt for the Top 4 whilst a loss could see them fall out of the 8 for the first time since 2020.

    OOZEE by The Oracle

There’s a touch of irony in the fact that Adem Yze played his first game for Melbourne in Round 13, 1995 against the club he now coaches. For that game, he wore the number 44 guernsey and got six touches in a game the team won by 11 points.  The man whose first name was often misspelled, soon changed to the number 13 and it turned out lucky for him. He became a highly revered Demon with a record of 271 games during which his presence was acknowledged by the fans with the chant of “Oozee” wh
