I wish Eddie would shut up and go away.

Eddie's a f******* a******* and now that Malthouse is retired, is the biggest hypocrite in the game.

Not sure what to make of this one but we know Eddie doesn't do anything without an agenda. Is he trying to destabilise us or was it just a veiled dig at the AFL bailing out the crap clubs?.

" All of the above." Eddie's like a shrapnel bomb. When he goes off anyone or anything in the vicinity cops it.

I wish Eddie would talk up more some of the more insidious and destructive cancers that are damaging our game like for example drug abuse in football.

Yes, funny how some things can escape his ever watchful eye. Eddie, steward of the game ...

Eddie's right. Roos would be good because the last thing Carlton need is another ex Collingwood coach.

The last thing any of us need is another ex Collingwood coach!!

No one want to coach Carlton, it's all Pratts fault white knights make clubs weak, really it's the supporters fault the same supports who where wetting himself when they got mick are the same ones now saying they hate him, and now are saying they are happy to see him gone, the days if cheque book footy are gone, everyone has the same cap, them getting judd was the worst thing they done, Kennedy and pick 3 was too high a price, it is the best example of put all your eggs in one basket, and the AFL allowed them to go outside the cap to get him.

I'm sure that after he's done from Melbourne, Roos will need a good 2-3 years of sitting on the ground, legs crossed, rocking back and forth, trying to forget the preceding years.

Maybe Eddie was trying to drum up a crowd for QB

Had we beat Port we would have gotten 75k there, but as usual we didn't hold up our end of the bargain

Perhaps we might crack 60k thanks to the Hogan factor

On a wins per $ basis, Neeld would be a far better option than Roos.

I'm not sure what Roos has been doing for the past 20 months, but I won't be complaining if Carlton are still in the bottom 4 after 20 months under a new coach.

What any of this has to do with Eddie is anyone's guess.

don't they say if the dcap Fitz wear it. got around the cap, but still hung themselves out to dry. & juddster goin' around demanding he sees the clubs books, why, so he knows how much to charge the blues, squeezing out all other suitors. just deserters juddster.

amazing how the blue boys don't get banged up over the 'Kreuzer Cup' thrown match, way back then.

FFS.

Fat bogan [censored] from Broady with your faux intelligence .

I've met people who start to think they are Kerry Packer once they work for them.

It's hilarious.

I call it Packer by association.Half of Sydney has it too.

Shows mental frailty .

Shitteatter.

Biffen I'm really enjoying your recent posts on multiple threads. Keep up the good work.

Ps I was a young kid standing in the forward pocket at Glenferrie Rd when Biffen, Bourke and Hudson crashed that tragic day so many years ago. It wasn't my fault!!!

It's a damn shame, isn't it?

To be fair, if Carlton had kept that pick 3, they'd quite probably have drafted Cale Morton with it. They wouldn't have known it at the time, but there's a good chance it would have been worthless to them. West Coast taking Masten was controversial at the time.

I don't reckon Kennedy for Judd is that terrible a trade.

Did anyone see this bizarre tirade on Fox post match tonight?

McGuire interjected no less than 4 times between a heated debate between Hall and Maclure when discussing the next Carlton coach. Apparently the choice for Carlton is "obvious" according to Eddie, he says the AFL need to put Roos in place.

Says he's the perfect coach for the AFL to assign to all the basketcase teams in the league, because they'll just keep forking out $1.5m a year for him to do it.

Not sure what to make of this one but we know Eddie doesn't do anything without an agenda. Is he trying to destabilise us or was it just a veiled dig at the AFL bailing out the crap clubs?

He wasn't even correct in saying the AFL are footing the bill for Roos.

Love it!

Eddie is a bloody good game promoter and he's just adding some spite to Monday's clash, stirring the pot before the big game...

Wanna-be macho types do it all the time...

Bring it on!

Works both ways. Judd locked up a huge chunk of salary cap which prevented them from getting other good players. Opportunity cost?

But then Judd is a known good (great) player and brought hope, excitement, members and sponsors. All things we'd love to come to our club.

In years to come, pub denizens will have many enjoyable hours arguing the rights and wrong of that trade.

Or! He's a arseh*le with a big mouth who lacks the self discipline to keep it shut!

Of course he's that too! But his mindless mutterings will draw an extra two or twenty to the game on Monday and we're getting the gate.

I say rave on Eddie!

BTW I did actually agree with Ted's evaluation of Eddie.

On his radio show this morning he was talking about gambling in the AFL. It was an excellent segment - except that gambling advertising wasn't mentioned once. It's a pretty big hole to leave in the conversation.

They were talking about players and punters getting help etc, but nothing about how the AFL condones this behaviour with the constant adds and odds splashed at us on telecasts and at the ground.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
