I'm convinced Pedersen plays his best footy as a defender. He's pretty good and strong in the one-on-ones and has adequate skills going the other way. His 2 games vs GWS in 2013 and 2014 were really good as a defender, in ordinary losses.

I'd play Pedersen as a key defender tomorrow, allowing Garland to take Walters or Ballantyne and releasing Howe as a forward to get them off guard a little.

Just don't know if he has the pace. Don't want to have to watch him trailing his man every inside 50

Well it took 5 rounds for us to bring a player in that likely wont be on the list next season and isn't part of the future

Usually we have 8 or 9 of those types in our Round 1 team as we start the season with a crushing defeat.

Things are so much nicer now.

Gold. I laughed very hard at this.

Mckenzie and his type (poor skill set) can't be part of our future if we want to reach the holy grail.

This is very odd: "The Demons told AFL.com.au Dawes hadn't strained his calf, but given his history of calf issues the club didn't want to risk him against the Dockers".

Uh?? Really?? Looks like Dawes was dropped, albeit late but dropped nonetheless.

Not disappointed. Pedo is a far better match up against Freo than Dawes. He can do Dawes job forward and a better job in the ruck.

Tanking?

Your list of stupid statements would require a new forum to cover.

Very intelligent curry. Must've taken a long time to formulate that gem. Congratulations and have a great day at the G.

Can't believe Freo have omitted Mzungu. Came on last week as the sub late and did some great things to stifle the Swans final charge. They must be really confident or over confident I hope.

I'll be heading off shortly. A pre game guzzle with less than salubrious characters should put me in the right mood for what I think will be a loss. I just think the job will be too much for for Jamar and ,consequently our mids will be playing catch up. I like Pedo but the only way he will influence the game will be up forward.

That last sentence is just plain wrong.

Ross lyon was talking bout his knee problem last week, chronic like the one rewoildt had. Searching the globe for best medical advice as its not an injury that has a straight solution but requires ongoing management .

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
