I'm already a massive fan and I think he deserves his own thread.

With the teams announced tonight, what are the chances that he gets promoted and plays round 1? From all reports he didn't exactly light up Casey on the weekend, but I still have him in my best 22.

I think he will play, he played and performed very well in all three NAB cup games (although left the Dogs game early) plus he played for Casey last week

Big bodied, runs like a gazele, loves a goal.

I think he'll miss round 1 and have to wait a week or three.

But I really like his prospects and hope he plays.

why has he not been upgraded already? two on the LTI list

he has played NAB and at casey. whats the deal?

The second coming of Michael Barlow.

He will be a beast once he adapts to the tempo. Don't let him squander at Casey.

I certainly hope he's the next Barlow and not the next James Magner... remember him? One moment he's going neck and neck with Nathan Jones for the Bluey and the next...

The next minute he gets put in defense or something

Not a star, but got caught in a period of "average player management", I reckon

It's one thing to perform in the pre-season games. It's an entirely different ball game come the season proper.

I really hope he is able to step up and be a really good player for us. Would be a great story.

It's just been confirmed that he has been upgraded here.

Very nice

Bring on VanDemon!

Half forward spots are tight and he didn't get much of a chance to impress in the midfield. No doubt with Howe and Vince underdone they'll be worrying about fitness as well.

But I say throw him in. Every indication is he's got AFL traits and AFL talent and whilst he might not be ready to perform at his best he'll be ready for the challenge of AFL football.

Genuinely excited to see if they throw him in. Reckon it's about 50/50 and even then he could be sub.

As it is confirmed, defensive forward on Malceski?

Don't know if he has the fitness for a hard defensive job. As much as I'd rather not have him in the team if we are going a defensive forward it might have to be Bail.

With Malceski, Harbrow, Kolodjashnij and McKenzie all in the same side I don't know if it serves a purpose having a defensive forward. It's almost too much skill to lock down on just one of them. We might be better off going with the 4 most attacking forwards and trying to catch them all out with one on ones.

Happy days. Congrats to VB (not the Adelaide one). Still working on a good nickname.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
