I have.. and the answer is no.

Would you pay the same for a Ferrari that has been smashed and then repaired opposed to one that has never been smashed?

Personally I wouldn't

Work it out yourself. Regardless how bad his injury is GC will NOT offload him cheaply.. this guy is the 2nd best midfielder behind Ablett and the fact he is still contracted till 2016 they will play absolute hardball with him. When someone like Rodney Eade who with enough experience in the game they will still ask for a 1st rounder atleast.

If jesse Hogan request a trade next year after missing half a year with a dodgy knee would you accept a 2nd rounder because we know it will affect him in the long run? Of course not! You still demand a 1st round draft pick.

Seriously lets get some common sense back

I can't link it at the moment, but according to an article on bigfooty; Prestia has turned us down to fulfil his contract with Gold Coast. Maybe next year I guess...

Posted

Not that I'm in a hurry to believe Prestia rumours, but I also won't be in a hurry to believe a player manager or Jay Clark.

This could easily be damage control in case nothing happens.

Posted

Right..... Well I guess i'll see you all again in this thread next year.

He is injured any way. Better to wait and see if he can get over his injury. Good choice Demons. Good choice.

Yeah ... next year.

One day I'll stop pinning my hopes on posts from randoms on the Internet... One day...

Ha! You're a glutton for punishment HH! ?

Thread can be closed. Let's not turn this into a Dangerfield 2.0 thread

Closed? Why? This thread will be used again every year until he retires or desides to come to us.

If only GNF had been feeding the rumour mill!

Oh well, love the player but it's our own fault for being such a hot mess of a club for so long. If the Suns are still a mess next year, we'll have a much better shot at him. Maybe Dion was doing us a favour, realising he'd cost us 2 first-rounders while in-contract at the Suns.

Posted

Not a bad call from Dion, really.

Gold Coast will finish above us next year, if their injury list gets back in order.

Do we have to go over this every time, hh? I know you change your tune at the drop of a hat, but Prestia is easily an A grader. Maybe check out YouTube for a few clips as that seems to be how you judge players.
Posted

Sorry but what player have I ever judged by Youtube clips?

And Prestia is most certainly a B grader

You posted the below in the Christian Petracca thread less than two hours before asking this question:

I havent, like everyone else I am just going by under 18 highlights and what we know about his style of play and physical attributes

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the

We'll break down the Match SIM against North Melbourne and wrap up the preseason with insights into training and our latest recruits. Thankfully, the offseason has recharged me, and I’m back—ready t
