He'll play some good games for the Pies (eventually, snigger), but wasn't that just such a Howe game?  The worst passenger in a terrible team.  I'm so glad he's someone else's frustration now.

I thought he was really poor today, much like their whole team, just didn't want it nearly enough.

On that half an hour intro special about Howe, he said Collingwood have a defined role for me, so it'll be good to play forward and wing and use my scoring ability etc...
Nek minnut gets shoved back to defence after doing [censored] all up forward. lol.

I actually think he'd do well in a good team. Just needs to find one.

When he was able to squeeze his way into the 22...

Jeremy Howe, We'll take you back.

Come home and we'll love you. You'll play harder, work harder and love it harder.

Always thought Howe was a one trick pony and as such a passenger. I laughed so hard when his manager last year said Howe was a 600, 000 dollar player. He sums up the difference btwn the two clubs. We got rid of him and they for some strange reason took him.

Looking back, Stefan Martin is still the only player I'm sorry to have lost in the last 10 years. He was also the only one I didn't want to lose at the time.

But we shouldn't hate on Howe for leaving us. He grew up a Collingwood supporter for crissakes. Let him rot with his own kind.

Didn't Scotty Thompson leave us, he was worth keeping

They laughed at us for taking Daws now we laugh at them.

I am sure that Howe will have some good games for the Pies over the next few years.  Irrespective I thought he was quite disrespectful to us with his carry on about his boyhood dreams about Collingwood and little mention of his time at the Dees.   Anyway Howe all I have to say is enjoy your photo of Nathan Buckley in your wallet, you lazy easily self satisfied [censored].

Didn't that happen in 2004 or something? That's a very long time ago now.

It's scary how you realise how ordinary he is when he isn't in the red and blue as I thought  he was decent in his time here. Also, didn't he leave Melbourne on bad terms?

not particularly. don't think roosy was too concerned

They thought they were getting someone to be their Jack Gunston. I questioned if he is prepared to work hard enough to be Gunston. Not so far.

Posted

The Channel 7 camera zoomed to Collingwood walking off, and he was in the middle of them all and looked completely broken. I LOLled, though not as hard as when he handpassed it into the goal square. That was cringe worthy.

Roos played it perfectly, kept him in the team built him up, we had him sold to GCFC and he wanted to go to the cold pies.  Best of luck to him, but he won't be missed

Lazy.

So, so lazy.

Getting Kennedy for him was a huge win.

You've got to wonder about their judgement over there.  Kennedy so far has looked fantastic, but was underutilized over there and sold cheaply.

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the
