I tweeted the Club asking for details of the 3k time trial, wanted to take some photos for Twitter, they said not for publication, assume they just want the run done and dusted, did say there is open training session tomorrow from 9.30am, if anyone wants to attend, last one before Maroochydore.

Its not open for publication because of the fact opposition clubs send spys down to try and get data down and see who is burning up the track. Most club take this matter pretty serious.

Well, since the Bombers' runs were plastered all over the 6pm news, one can only assume that Jim knows their players will be suspended for the majority of the season and not worthy of spying on.

I'm glad that, for the first time in years, I can hear about the time trials without mentions of Sam Blease coming last

...unless we hear the results from the Geelong time trials. :)

I like that three of our mid-poor kicks finish first, second and third haha.

But it also shows that Bail and McKenzie are are at least trying and who knows what may happen this year (i am one who thinks jordie would be lucky to get a game, but this is a good start for him).

Go dees :)

The club usually doesn't broadcast players' times. They'll tell you how many ran PBs and the order that they finished, but its unlikely you'll find out times.

I think it was around the 15 minute mark.

He ran but finished the 3kms in 5 minutes. The cameras weren't set up in time to catch him crossing the line.

Remarkable. Give him the Brownlow now.

N. Jones, Dawes, Watts and Hogan didn't run. The top 23 all finished within one minute of each other:

1. T-Mac (6 seconds ahead of Bail)

2. Bail (5 seconds ahead of Jordie)

3. Jordie (3 seconds ahead of Grimes)

4. Grimes (7 seconds ahead of JKH)

5. JKH (was stoked with himself, probable PB. Finished 2 seconds ahead of Cross)

6. Crossy (filthy at himself, or just exhausted)

7. Howey (finished right after Cross, along with the next 5 in quick succession)

8. White

9. Stretch

10. Viney

11. Lamumba

12. Newton (elated at finish line, probable PB)

13. Dunny

14. M. Jones

15. Toumpas

16. Salem

17. Vince

18. Brayshaw

19. Harmes

20. O-Mac

21. Pedo

22. Tyson

23. Jetta

20 seconds later were Kent, Michie, Fitzpatrick, Vandenburg and Petracca (absolutely exhausted).
25 seconds later Frost, then 5 seconds later Garland, then Garlett 5 seconds after that.
Didn't recognize the player who came next (99% certain this was Kieran Collins, our AIS trainee), and King was last.
*May have missed a few players in the mix but top 20 is accurate.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
