I too agree with the general tenor of the thread.

I enjoy the read and dont always have time or inclination to respond.

Usually I send some worthless contribution that at least makes me feel better.

I do really appreciate the quick, witty and often very clever irony that just seems to spark especially from those contributors who know each other well and have continued sniping at each other until they run out of said clever invective. They usually keep me entertianed as I hope it is is friendly rivalry and not real hatred. The discussions usually bring out the best lenes so please please dont moderate them out of the game.

I reckon moderators do a great job usually letting contributors know when they are getting out of hand.

Too many times I see posters with less substantial post counts dismissed based on their newbie status. It's very off-putting to people who love the club just as much as you, and discourages new members and new ideas and discussions from taking place.

Post count holds too much gravitas on this forum by some members.

Used to happen. Very rare now. In fact new posters are generally welcomed and encouraged. Off the top of my head, I more often recall posters who are relatively new having a crack at those who have been on 'land for some time using their high post count as reasoning.

I was told to get back in my place when I'd logged around 30 posts, but I haven't seen much of it since then. Indeed there have been a few first posts that have attracted all sorts of positive responses and lit up the 'like' button.

Posters who launch into gratuitous insults because they've got nothing else are much more likely to put the casual reader off joining. Just because Hannibal has taken his elephants elsewhere doesn't mean the habit has gone too.

I have seen the more verbose and dim members on here say it a handful of times in the last decade, have not seen it recently and would make the person know it BS if I did.

The only thing that has come close recently would be when opposition teenage supporters troll the site during trade week and some on here question the veracity of a one post supporter claiming Nathan Jones is off to Essendon...

It doesn't happen as much as it used to which is good. I got a relatively mild bake from some in my early days on 'Land (and won't name who so I don't restart old battles) but I usually give as good as I get.
