Discussion on recent allegations about the use of illicit drugs in football is forbidden
  • IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING

Posting unsubstantiated rumours on this website is strictly forbidden.

Demonland has made the difficult decision to not permit this platform to be used to discuss & debate the off-field issues relating to the Melbourne Football Club including matters currently being litigated between the Club & former Board members, board elections, the issue of illicit drugs in footy, the culture at the club & the personal issues & allegations against some of our players & officials ...

We do not take these issues & this decision lightly & of course we believe that these serious matters affecting the club we love & are so passionate about are worthy of discussion & debate & I wish we could provide a place where these matters can be discussed in a civil & respectful manner.

However these discussions unfortunately invariably devolve into areas that may be defamatory, libelous, spread unsubstantiated rumours & can effect the mental health of those involved. Even discussion & debate of known facts or media reports can lead to finger pointing, blame & personal attacks.

The repercussion is that these discussions can open this website, it’s owners & it’s users to legal action & may result in this website being forced to shutdown.

Our moderating team are all volunteers & cannot moderate the forum 24/7 & as a consequence problematic content that contravenes our rules & standards may go unnoticed for some time before it can be removed.

We reserve the right to delete posts that offend against our above policy & indeed, to ban posters who are repeat offenders or who breach our code of conduct.

WE HAVE BUILT A FANTASTIC ONLINE COMMUNITY AT DEMONLAND OVER THE PAST 23 YEARS & WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS THE CLUB WE LOVE & ARE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT.

Thank you for your continued support & understanding. Go Dees.

If DA, McQueen, DD and myself are snipers waiting in the shadows - we were playing cards when TDI came out and shot himself in the foot...

Training threads have a shelf life of two/three days - until the next one arrives - it is the only new threads we are all in during the offseason, unless Essendope and a Masturbatory Dom Tyson thread floats peoples boats.

Training thread starts, information gleaned, overreactions made, comment jumped on, thread derailed.

Rinse, repeat.

i can see the problem here. Everyone get onto the No T$ No B$ thread. Everyone gets on well over there.

It is always the same group who do the sniping, I find you rather sad actually, I provide the training reports for anybody that is interested, if that doesn't include you that's ok, you can spend the time bathing in your own magnificence instead

I asked on two separate days, and one of the answers was not sure and told me to check with someone else, gee..... try not think too hard, you may hurt something, as I have stated prefer to get the 'real' reason for the absences, stops the rumours, overheard one 'supporter' who noticed he was missing that he must be on 'walkabout' classy

OMG - it is preseason. Individualized training programs: just maybe he had a RDO?? Or a cold??

Good point. But lets not forget that for two years insiders at Melbourne have told us half the list is training the house down ;)

Not sure that this is right. By definition, MFC supporters have to be optimists or we would just not bother. Having said that,in Neeld's last pre-season, I had the horrible feeling that there was not only no light at the end of the tunnel, we couldn't even find where the tunnel began. Last pre-season, even with the arrival of Roos, there were still a lot of unknowns plus a number of injuries. I can't recall too many posters being anything other than guarded in their reports and predictions. However, in light of what I've seen since the beginning of last season, the success of the 2014 recruits, the pragmatism in the delistings and the quality of the 2015 recruits, the a intensity of the training, I am at least optimistic - perhaps even of finals footy. My wife and I are thinking of going overseas for a year or two and I am even thinking about coming back to Melbourne for the finals over the next couple of years. How bizarre is that? Maybe a premiership before I die.

Anyway, I can't help but be optimistic for the coming season and can't wait to see Hogan belt his first defender...can I say that?

Have they?

Are you talking real insiders, or those who enjoy pretending to be..?

Not looking at you Saty...

Give it a rest. Don't read the training threads if you don't want to hear what he has to say. Better still block him. We don't care. We are interested in what he has to say.

Oh FFS, get your hand off of it.

The players can take the [censored] but we can't?

We will be here a lot longer than the players you talk to.

The most important posts that occur during the off season are absolutely the training reports, particularly Saty's.

For those of you who don't agree, go muck around on some other app and stop criticising those who take their time to update us on what's going on during these sessions.

Anyone going today? It's been 2 days and I'm having withdrawals!

I was walking past the G on the way to training on Wednesday and saw one of the assistant coaches (the one with the big thighs) walking through yarra park with JKH. Both were in casuals and both had a coffee. They headed into the G. Hopefully all is well with him!!!

There are some miserable sods on this forum.

What would life be without some hope and expectation?

I personally love Satys training reports and his positivity.

Leave him alone to keep doing what he does.

Reasons why JKH was not at training:

1. Had to watch his cousin Ryan play against the Indians

2. Had to stay home to watch the space shuttle launch at the Kennedy centre

3. Is no longer training out of protest until his cousin Neil Patrick can legally get married in Australia

4. Quit the MFC when Roosy named Josh as the best Kennedy

5. Decided if Jack Watts gets 22 games despite never putting in that he may as well take a few weeks off pre Christmas

6. Is using demonland and the club to troll us all

7. Has a low grade infectious illness that could spread through the players and has been told to stay away from the club

8. Has a personal issue

9. Has quit footy to rediscover his cultural heritage by playing cricket with his private school mates in Kew

10. His biceps are now so large he's unable to run from the sheer weight of them

11. He's at Satyr's old workplace asking three different people why Satyr no longer works there.

Square-up: I really like Satyr's contribution to this forum. He's passionate and consistent. I might not agree with all his views but I don't see why he should be criticised for both having them and expressing them.

but who else would think of "bathing in your own magnificence"? (post 81)

and the "instead" - instead of what - bathing in whose magnificence, did you mean, TDI?

well, I appreciate his reports - he's certainly found a valued role here - but I do think he asks for it too.

Could you please run through what went wrong here?

I think you will find nothing went wrong, people overreacted, the thread derailed and here we are.

Onto the next training thread!

    DISCO INFERNO by Whispering Jack

Two weeks ago, when the curtain came down on Melbourne’s game against the Brisbane Lions, the team trudged off the MCG looking tired and despondent at the end of a tough run of games played in quick succession. In the days that followed, the fans wanted answers about their team’s lamentable performance that night and foremost among their concerns was whether the loss was a one off result of fatigue or was it due to other factor(s) of far greater consequence.  As it turns out, the answer to

TIGERS PUNT CASEY by KC from Casey

The afternoon atmosphere at the Swinburne Centre was somewhat surreal as the game between Richmond VFL and the Casey Demons unfolded on what was really a normal work day for most Melburnians. The Yarra Park precinct marched to the rhythm of city life, the trains rolled by, pedestrians walked by with their dogs and the traffic on Punt Road and Brunton Avenue swirled past while inside the arena, a football battle ensued. And what a battle it was? The Tigers came in with a record of two wins f

    GAMEDAY: Rd 07 vs Richmond

It's Game Day and the Demons once again open the round of football with their annual clash against Richmond on ANZAC Eve. The Tigers, coached by former Dees champion and Premiership assistant coach Adem Yze have a plethora of stars missing due to injury but beware the wounded Tiger. The Dees will have to be switched on tonight. A win will keep them in the hunt for the Top 4 whilst a loss could see them fall out of the 8 for the first time since 2020.

    OOZEE by The Oracle

There’s a touch of irony in the fact that Adem Yze played his first game for Melbourne in Round 13, 1995 against the club he now coaches. For that game, he wore the number 44 guernsey and got six touches in a game the team won by 11 points.  The man whose first name was often misspelled, soon changed to the number 13 and it turned out lucky for him. He became a highly revered Demon with a record of 271 games during which his presence was acknowledged by the fans with the chant of “Oozee” wh
