After reading the link, is there anyone Melbourne is not linked to? It seems we are pursuing half the league. I know we are in need of established players but there are some spuds that have been mentioned. We look desperate (guess we are). In Roos I trust.

Insanity is continuing doing the same thing over and over and expecting the same results. We have to move things around so I understand why we are casting a wide net.

That being said, we need to not only bring in new blood BUT hold some of the post 2009 draftees accountable.

Has pace and good defensive application. Played as a small forward but could be switched to half back which I think he played a lot in juniors. Also not surprising he is on our radar as his best game of the year was an 18 disposal, 8 tackle, 2 goal effort against MFC.

I would hope we are on everybody's radar. Thats the plan. We have picks we are keen to deal. We need players.

All good for mine.

Roos turned Ben Mcglyn from second rate footballer to a star of the comp.

Could he do the same with Tutt?

Don't think you can say that. McGlynn had more possessions in his last year at hawthorn than he did in his first year at the Swans - which is the last year Roos coached him.

Isn't a Tutt Tutt what commoners use to travel around in the Asian colonies?

It is well known that your palanquin bearers are some of the most exploited women in Asia but

Not everybody can afford to travel on silk cushioned divans .

Commoners these days ride jet skis or cruise by ship.

Firstly, I have absolutely no idea about Tutt, but we haven't, under this current regime (one lead by a coach who has had in the past great success in turning sow's ears into silk purses) done what you are suggesting.

I trust this man with this record to do his recycling far better than his predecessors.

4 years in the system. Shows demonstrable skill yet starved for opportunities as can't crack the midfield.

…This has Paul Roos written all over it.

So after 4 years of not getting a game at a rebuilding bulldogs and we want him why?

Daniel Cross also couldn't get a game there, due to their being bent on getting games into certain young players.

Ok by me.

Tutt sounds like one of the hard running role players that Roos' sides are built on.

Remember, we aren't trying to build from an average team to a premiership team.

We're still trying to get to average team level, then we can build from there.

Tutt would be an improvement.

He definitely goes all right at VFL level but is finding it hard to beat off the Bulldog young guns of similar size in their midfield. Was one if their best in the recent game against the Scorpions.

If anything he gives us a better option than our other list cloggers, and he comes to the club fresh and ready to learn under Paul Roos without any 'taint' from the past.

If the price is right then I'm all for it.

Sounds a bit like a Michie scenario.

If he wins the footy and hits targets then he potentially pushes out one of our bottom 6.

Find some stars in the drafts and trades and get as many AFL standard players for nix as possible.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
