If we don't get Dangerfield we may get someone else of his ilk. Picks 2 & 3* are prized picks for other clubs regardless of how they feel about the draft or drafting. There may be another star in the pipeline that we've got our eye on - that's just my presumed assumption, not a statement of fact.

Or ... we might end up doing 2 deals with both those 2 picks ... 2 x Tyson/Salem type deals. Effectively we could end up with 2 more "Tyson" types and 2 prospects at say ... picks #10 & #12.

In the end, we felt we were blindsided by the Scully defection but once Hogan starts playing to his capabilities, we'll have had a huge win with that deal ... imagine if Scully was still here on big money? A 'C' grader. What started out as a huge negative is turning into a huge positive.

If GWS had any real supporters they would be filthy about the Scully situation and they would be scratching their heads about letting Tyson go.

Roos has a history of turning someone else's negative into a positive ... he proved that at the Swans.

We'll be bringing in some established talent or unearthed talent - Roos will make sure of it.

*Assuming we get pick 3 for Frawley

Yes if we miss out on Danger, I feel we will go all out for a classy mid ala , Beams, Mitchell, Shiel etc..

I can imagine that somehow he will end up at the Cats. How? Got no idea.

Who have you heard that we will be signing in the trade period?

Dangerfield is still a chance, although slim. There is one big fish though wanting Dangerfield.

Lumumba is just a matter of crossing the i's and dotting the t's.

Well I went through party boys posts and he has intimated that Patty isn't the only person we've talked to, also said Lamumba is a lock and put down Trealour with pick 2 in potential trade thread, so let's see.

I started thinking that until I saw his favourite players were our '94 forward line (ahhh the memories)

I doubt BV could name 5 of the six

Favourite players - just a decoy ^_^ He only joined DL 2 weeks ago. Where has he been all these years with such juicy trade tid bits!

If it is someone within the club he will surely be found out soon enough and then there will be all hell to pay! :(

I would be equally as excited about Treloar with #2, kids a gun..

This is an instance where the only two parties that should matter is Adelaide and Melbourne.

We should offer Pick 3 and Adelaide would accept as Danger is destined to go for a worse pick next year.

We would trade for him on the last year of his contract and try to convince him to stay beyond 2015.

The player should not be allowed to stop a trade unless he has a clause built into his contract to do so.

Like the guy on facebook that took a photo if himself next to a listed player then quoted him as saying another listed player was lazy?

I would be happy even we we ended up with a Treloar , Malcevski and Lumumba out of all this, and maybe a Brayshaw or Petracca.

He will wait another year until free agency, they don't have to offer anything.

That's why 'Machsy' has been saying we get him this year or not at all. It may appear the not at alls are winning.

In your first post you said he won't be coming?

Now there's a slim chance?

Dangerfield to the Hawks is my tip,

Thanks mate.

Not worried, do not need social media to boost my ego. I'm happy with life outside of the internet.

Will learn more in a few days, hoping we can get him.

Dangerfield to the Hawks is my tip,

Don't be so thin-skinned.

Demonland is like a pub run only for Dees fans - you can't just throw out coy allusions while everyone is listening and not expect a few 'pffts'...

Again, no need for such a thin skin.

You are walking amongst Dees fans wary of life in general - a few raised eyebrows and eyeballs is nothing.

Maybe Danger says something like " Im ONLY going to the hawks, get the best trade you can" its not right, but it seems to be the way things are going.

This week a contributor to the rumour file on 3aw said that Dangerfield has just bought a property outside Geelong.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
