sure. But if we want a good trade for him he had to keep fit.

"We will keep this out of the media if you keep up your fitness....."

We paid him a fortune to come here and he has shat in his own backyard.

One should not get away with that without sacrifice...

That's plausible, the fitness part.

Any chance on Geelong assessing Clarks value to them to be high enough for a Guthrie midfielder type?

Jay Clark on Twitter says Cats reckon a second or third rounder should suffice in a trade. I'll take the second rounder and use it on another player like Lumumba. Best we will get out of it I think.

TSFKA...you have to get realistic. It current market values that apply.

As they say in property you make your money at the point and time of buying. ..not selling. We fukked that up. Cant expect sympathetic rewards now.

We move on.

if anyone suggest Smedts for Clark, i will put my fist through my computer screen in attempt at punching you in the face. He is a chop.

We gave ups first rounder for Clark. We need something good in return.

You do know we could get nothing for him. He can walk away as a delisted Free agent after 31/10 list lodgement. Geelong doesn't have to deal with Melbourne, Clark would like them to to try and leave with guilt free but we will be shafted we will get nowhere near what we paid out

i actually like the suggestion of: pick 33 for clark, which we in turn give to Collingwood for the Delai Lama, i mean Heritier.

they get frawley and rivers for nothing and pay boiled lollies for clark

ok we "might" get pick 3 from the afl for frawley but we are still down a kpd

it's hard enough attracting new players without being raped by fa

i'll be keeping the chocs and beer

i get this but we are just starting to cull the chops on our list. Why bring in another one (Smedts)?

by the time you add in the compo picks a 2nd rounder from the cats looks more like an early 3rd rounder

It has been clarified that this is not the case, if he is delisted he must enter the draft.

Damn, was quite looking forward to booing the grub on QB. At least we're going to get compensated, by the looks.

Geelong could well have Rivers, Frawley and Clark running around for them next season.

The Melbourne 2.0 Cats.

nupp

Am looking at this glass half full.

We get rid of a nqr (another) and will get a bit of something we can add to the war chest. We get rid of a half hearted I' a leader's [censored] and get serious coin to help garner a game changer. Rivers was never much of a loss ( for mine )

Seriously DC this is opportunity...not calamity.

because we have little bargaining power

he can just do a luke ball

Except he won't get to his intended club.

If we are going to get a measly 3rd round pick for Clark, then let's threaten to send him into the draft.

Still might be a straight swap for Lumumba yet IMO.

Why does this guy get to choose the club he would like to go to?

Because Ron the MFC iS running it to our advantage, all things considered. MC is towing OUR line I reckon not other way round.

Exactly.

And especially when his choice is between Geelong and Collingwood - two successful, well-financed clubs in Melbourne.

If he had any ethics whatsoever he goes where MFC get the best deal out of those two.

I'm well over him.

And so ends my love and admiration for a player who has turned out to be a liar, and a selfish scumbag.

Good luck in your mental recovery, but I hope you never play another game of AFL again.

Pathetic.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
