I bet they show his great hit on Luke McCabe. Still one of my favourite best ever plays

The MRP would probably put him out for the season these days - a MFC player, and some newly dreamed of charge :-(((

As predicted that hit got some good airtime.

It was a great show, although I am biased....love Neita.

Odd question, but does anyone know if he's an asthmatic? Every now and then there was a real wheeze through the mic.

Great viewing. Interesting that he briefly mentioned the discord between Bails and Connelly and that it had an impact. You hear rumours of this stuff on demonland but as someone who loves the club, since it is not public knowledge, you don't want to believe it.

The great man acknowledged that getting rid of Junior was a mistake. I can't understand those who continue to defend it. It was clearly a mistake.

Was a good interview. I love how genuine he is about everything.

If anyone somehow uploads this or has a link it would be much appreciated. Didn't realise it was on and would love to see it!

Neita - a champion bloke and player. Watching some of the vision played made me realise I had forgotten how good Ox was also. Some of his marks and goals were top shelf stuff.

Will never forgive Essendon for what they did to Brad Green and Troy Simmons in the grand final.

Michael Long is held up as a great hero but to me anyone who did what he did is contemptible. Dean Wallis is no better.

Strange how that interview stirred up old hostilities.

Don't ask Saty, even though Neita said there was a disconnect, he heard that everything is perfect!

Just kidding.

Seriously, was an amazing ep and he's a great bloke. He's always sitting level 3 and 4 at every Dees match. He still Bleeds Demons and I couldn't respect him more.

Is there a transcript or a link to view?

Dean Wallis is one of the biggest scumbags to ever play, another Sheedy special.

What a fantastic interview. Looking at Neita I was thinking we could do with him out there now. Neita was and is a champion. Great bloke, great cpatain and despite no flags can hold his head high in the company of Barassi etc. Great to see him and a bunch of the old players getting together for boys weeked in Adelaide for round 7.

Watching Wallis cowardly attack on Green did nothing to improve my opinion of Essendon. Thugs and drug cheats IMO and will be seen as that for a generation.

Don't forget as well that all the players liked the blazer, got along great with Mark Neeld and the only people who were unhappy with the direction of the club were softc***s and charlatans (except Nathan Jones who said he found it tough to go to training).

Though to be fair to Saty, did he actually say that? His reign of terror only began last year didn't it? (before the Connolly and Bailey feud)

What he said.

I look forward to seeing the interview. It's sounds like the closest we will get to hearing a first hand account of what went down leading up to 186 (I believe Neita was working at the club in a capacity at that stage and he was definitely listed as being in the Andrews Report).

I disliked what Essendon did to us in 2000.

Dispassionately - they did what it took to when a premiership and as it much as it hurt, I look forward to the day where we monster and ragdoll a team on the last Saturday in September.

I'm probably out of touch but if knocking kids deliberately about the head is what it takes to win a flag I'll pass. If it happened to my son I'd want blood.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
