No. I think he played him forward because we needed him there and he's moved back because we need him there more than forward now.. As crazy as this sounds, I don't think there was a hidden msg and Roos just plays him where the team needs him.

this post shouldn't be on here , makes too much sense !

Frawley is the best hand puncher in the comp.

Everytime he stuffs up he punches his left hand with his right.

God knows he should be the best, he gets enough practice.

PS. My Avatar and handle will change next year, any suggestions.

Maybe Colonel Garland or Captain Grimes. They're very good at punching the ground when they make mistakes, and they also get a lot of practice!

Wait till he goes at the end of the yr and all the journos will jump all over us about not being able to keep our talented players.

It's probably not worth starting its own thread, but...

Most people now believe Frawley will go, and are fairly comfortable with that arrangement.

But what if he stays...??

As long as we dont pay him more than 400k

Good question.

But honestly one I do not think we will have to worry about.

nor do I but for a strange reason it gave me a shudder.

I do however think we may miss out on band 1 :(

I don't buy this price drop talk, when there are ten clubs all fighting for your signature your price generally goes up.

All we should worry about is who to trade the compo for

I also don't think clubs are silly enough to believe that playing in our side represents his true form or value.

And I'm sure when he isn't fatigued from a Darwin match the previous week, his performances will improve again.

the next month will be intriguing to say the least

just more black & white in print. no grey nor colour.

why can't chippa possibly leaving us be a win-win-win... I guess that's not in the muirdoch handbook for selling 300Yr old Tassie woodchip buy breakfast time. you can read it, burn it, wipe your ### with it, but you can't breath it ?

let me see, the Cats need ready-made tall defenders, the Hawks, Freo, the Bummers, the Blues too, the Suns, the Giants, just about everyone.... and on the 9 footyshow yesterday, they mentioned a rumour of an $800,000.00 offer from sleepy hollow?

Someone open the diary please.

My only hope is that there's enough interest in the bloke to give us pick 4 ( or maybe 3 the way we're going.

Happy for him to go; to go wherever and enjoy his footy.

And I want us to win also by way of bettering our list in positions it needs.

Yep win/win

Any person that says this doesn't effect the club or players this year is kidding themselves. Every single interview the Frawley question is asked. It was the same when Tom Scully left, no effect rubbish, it is a massive distraction for the players and club.

So how did it affect Hawthorn last year regarding Franklin? Your opinion can't change from team to team.

I knew we weren't crap, the players are just distracted giving a [censored] about Frawley!

I can understand it impacting the player but I think the teamates wouldn't give it a second thought

If that is true which it could be, you would want to think that Harry Taylor is on $1.6m per year; because he is clearly twice the defender that Frawley is...

That's basically the point made by a few on Sundays Game Day.

The consensus was somewhere around the 500k mark, which was first suggested by Tom Harley.

The whisper I heard was he was/is heading down the freeway. But then I might be confusing it with other 'voices" ^_^

Nothing forgone ( just yet ) more an understanding

Agree he can stay if the price is right. The current admin won't pay overs. They're not as stupid as Frawley and his manager think.

Anyway the question is moot because he is long gone.

Exactly what you pay for a player you develop yourself, but a player you poach is a different story.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
