I agree.

Razor Ray has backed them.

Watch this 3rd quarter again and the umpiring is one-sided. Thank Christ for the Dawes softy.

absolute garbage tonight, had we lost it would have been a complete robbery

completely different set of rules for the home town boys isn't it

that's 3 weeks in a row we've had the rough end of the stick by my count

We couldn't buy a "holding the ball" against the cows

What an absolute joke.

Even though the umps were in the cows back pocket we still BEAT the plicks on THEIR HOME TURF.

Sucked in.

I've followed footy and the Dees for 50 odd years. Supporters always reckon your side is getting a shitty deal from the umpires. However, we are getting a shitty deal. Why? Because umpires do not want to upset the stronger teams. This has always been the case. The Eddies of the footy world wield enormous influence which filters through all aspects of the game.

The commentators don't like us getting frees. Have no issues with soft Adelaide ones.

The commentors showed us no respect.

The efforts of JKH and Viney hardly rated a mention

I dont think it is intentional. I think lower performing teams get stitched up more because umpires subconsiously assume that the worse team made the error. It is also the reason that the star players get looked after so well by umpires. It is extremely annoying, but it wont change. In the last few weeks. Buddy was given a rubbish free to kick his only goal. Ablett was given a gift also in a crucial time in the game. Nev Jetta gets his head ripped off half the time and it gets ignored.

Win a Brownlow and you're assured a nice run with the umps as well.

We really have to be more vocal at our home games. Ive cooled down but its the only mitigating circumstance. The crowd screaming so loud.

Umpires should be embarrassed by that effort.

My favourite free was when Cross got one at half forward when we were streaming through the midfield and looked set for a quality inside 50. Instead the game stopped and Adelaide got all their defenders back inside 50. Well done umps.

Also good job Ray and co from changing the usual 15 from 12 up to about 20. Glad to see that consistent across the league this weekend.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
