Met Malceski's cousin last night, said that Nick was as good as gone from the Swans, is moving back to Melbourne and most importantly will be a Dee this off-season.

Take that for what you will.

Hope you are right hulkster. We have terrible delivery off half back ATM.

The Dom is good and will be a star. Along with Viney. Add Hogan and Cameron and the club for the first time since 1994 will have real stars.

Let's hope injury does not kill us like 94.

With Frawley leaving we could have Cameron and one of Brayshaw or Petracca

Cameron and Pretracca....... hmmmmm...... drool...... doughnuts.... yes please.

I mean its great to be optimistic and all...but the only reason why Gws would trade cameron is if they get Petracca and another people as compensation. Sorry for being the party pooper!

If Cameron decides he is leaving it will force GWS hand. Pick two and three is overs for Cameron IMO. Not even Judd in his prime demanded two high draft picks.

The club knows it needs midfielders. They won't give up 2 high draft picks. Unless Shiel is part of the package.

Hmmm...sorry I can't see that scenario playing out atm. Can you give me an example of what we might have to offer to get him if we don't offer pick 2 and 3?

Don't GWS have an end of first round compo pick up their sleeves?

If they do, our first pick plus frawley compo (2&3 or 3&4) for Cameron and their end of first rounder.

Err... Wasn't Judd traded pick 3 plus Josh Kennedy? That's two great high picks effectively.

If we have pick 2 and 3, ideally we'd trade 3 + player (hate to say it, Watts) for Cameron and take Petracca with 2. Gotta give something good to get something good. Or pick 2 for Cameron and take Brayshaw with 3. Or it could be the Roosy 'special' al la Dom and 1st rounder, or a tangled 3-way deal including our pick 2 or 3. Who knows.......

Josh Kennedy was massively underwhelming at the Blues therefore speculative at the time Moonshadow. Kennedy is also a West Australian.

Watts was pick one in his year!

Who has also been massively underwhelming unfortunately.

I think you are "massively" undervaluing Kennedy. He showed considerable potential at the Blouses and was pick 4 in a draft that included Pendles, Nate Jones, Paddy Ryder and Grant Birchell.

Jack Watts pick 1......meh!

Hope so too Moon, would hate having him pull my leg on this one. Yes Malceski is around 30 y/o but he's in terrific form and would boost the delivery from half back. Would be a very handy acquisition for the next few years that's for sure.

Disagree with you here Moonshadow. At the Blues Kennedy was a massive disappointment. He not only did he under perform, he didn't show a lot of potential. The club was happy to let him go.

Subiaco is a ground that has suited his style of play and the Eagles have done well out of that trade. The kid is a star now.

Not true.

Sticks has gone on record many times saying they didn't want to let him go but had no choice in order to get Judd in.

So Sticks, who is leaving a club in disarray, says something therefore what I believe is wrong.....

I could say your wrong Andrew on both accounts. Believing an under performing President and on the Kennedy issue

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
