6 - N.Jones (played as if his life depended on it)

5 - Dunn (has become a vital component, and easily the best kick in the team)

4 - Tyson (tireless and highly skilled)

3 - Toumpas (provided options and disposed well)

2 - Cross (not outstanding , but understood where to move)

1 - Frawley (excellent under great duress)

6. Dom Tyson (ball magnet, and a cool head)

5. Nathan Jones (early errors, but keeps trying)

4. Lynden Dunn (a good player these days)

3. Daniel Cross (12 tackles, did his bit)

2. Shannon Byrnes (well, he did kick 2 goals)

1. Jimmy Toumpas (I'm struggling now)

5 Dunn (gee he is getting better)

4 jones (just great)

3 Cross (so much midfield pressure)

My god. People are not seriously giving votes to Frawley are they? Got killed. Also was responsible for one of the worst turnovers I've ever seen

Tyson, Jones, Dunn, Cross the only four worthy of votes. Vince maybe

What? He's not supposed to handball to an opponent who is goal side and 5 metres in the clear?

The kick straight to West Coast on the 50 metre line that resulted in them going coast-to-coast for a goal. Third quarter I think it was

you actually didn't put Tyson in your votes at all?

30 disposals, 12 marks, and most of our clearances not good enough for you?

You must also do the votes for the brownlow.

Spare me.

6. Daniel Cross - I just love his efforts for a guy playing his second game. Battered, bruised and just kept running.

5. Dom Tyson - Smooth mover, someone who we will all come to enjoy his career.

4. Nathan Jones - Would have featured higher but had a couple uncontested kicks that got smothered. Still, we would be lost without him.

3. James Frawley - You people who didn't rate his game are dead set morons. Smashed by 100pts and he holds one of the best FF's in the comp to 4. Bet him in constant one on ones, chased hard and smashed out some crunching tackles.

2. Dunny - You have made me completely eat my words so far this year as I have always despised you as a footballer. Well done mate, great skills today.

1. Dean Terlich - Took the game on today with his kicking and hit some good targets. Continually howled down here and I think he played a good solid game today. Plenty of rebound

Gee you know we're in strife where you're praising someone for having 4 kicked on him

If the score was 45 - 52 then I would be upset.

Getting done my nearly a ton with some sensational delivery and hold a gun to 4 was a good effort.

Just my opinion, I thought he was great defensively

6. N Jones.

5. L Dunn.

1. S Byrnes

Daylight. Sort the rest out between yourselves.

Dom Tyson is getting heaps of the ball, but his mistakes are atrocious. On at least four occasion last week and again this week, he cracks in and wins great possession, only to handball it straight to an opposition player who is in 2-3m of free space. Opposition run and carry ensues. He has to get this out of his game.

Frawley was ok today, doing a tough job on a good forward getting good delivery. His man-on-man stuff was strong and reliable. But his heart was not there. He stopped running to get to spoiling contests, his handball and kick turnovers leading directly to goals, and he did not take on the opposition trying to brush past like he does when at the peak of his game.

1.Byrnes ( only bloke who looked like kicking a goal)

6: Nathan Jones ( reckon he'll be in the brownlow votes as strange as that sounds. )

5: Dom Tyson ( honestly shocked at how well this kids going, worth pick 2 on his own )

4: Lynden Dunn ( fast becoming a very solid medium defender )

3: Shannon Byrnes ( Looked our only scoring option )

2 : Daniel Cross ( another very solid game )

1: Jimmy Toumpas ( makes things happen when he has the pill and works his backside off )

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
