From memory, he didnt earn a percentage from Abletts deal to Gold Coast. He got a set price. He would have got the same amount if Ablett had stayed at Geelong.

Maybe he is just a great manager?

Whenever I hear this guy's commentary on the TAC Cup games or on up and coming youngsters, I can't help but think of a pedophile leering at a bunch of underage boys. It's gross conflict of interest.

One of his other clients might be looking for a new manager , A Clarkson . If bud goes to syd as predicted , Allister will not be happy despite public statements . Hawthorn would have accepted Gws knowing full well buddys impact will be less than his impact at Sydney who must have come in as flag favourites if he goes to syd

Be interesting to see who picks this up...

Player managers are about as trustworthy as politicians and used car salesmen.

sen replayed an interview from aug 6 with pickering who did a freudian slip and said he was dealing with tSydney , then corrected himself and said hawthorn.Gws was a smokescreen used by Pickering . Will Gws ever deal with him again?

All AFL managers are on a fixed percentage. I believe it is 2% of the players salary. They can negotiate for any percentage on extra deals such as media appearances, book deals etc.

Nonetheless he is making plenty - and yes he is Gary abletts manager.

If Hawthorn get Mumford out of this they'll probably see it as a win win. They get the ruckman they desperately need and Tippett goes into second ruck duty at the swans. Tippett is the most dangerous forward to Hawthorn as he can get right on top of Lake. Franklin will be an upgrade but I bet Josh Gibson is confident he can still do a job on him, impressive games on Franklin is what got him to the hawks in the first place.

Franklin says to Pickering I want to go to the Swans under Free Agency and my speedos to party in spas in with rugger chaps and Pickering organises a deal to do the former if not the later. That is a player agent doing his job.

The only issue is that he blatantly lied which he should have been able to avoid by being a little smarter.

Being on a Yobbo Radio Show Weekly doesn't help

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
