Discussion on recent allegations about the use of illicit drugs in football is forbidden
  • IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING

Posting unsubstantiated rumours on this website is strictly forbidden.

Demonland has made the difficult decision to not permit this platform to be used to discuss & debate the off-field issues relating to the Melbourne Football Club including matters currently being litigated between the Club & former Board members, board elections, the issue of illicit drugs in footy, the culture at the club & the personal issues & allegations against some of our players & officials ...

We do not take these issues & this decision lightly & of course we believe that these serious matters affecting the club we love & are so passionate about are worthy of discussion & debate & I wish we could provide a place where these matters can be discussed in a civil & respectful manner.

However these discussions unfortunately invariably devolve into areas that may be defamatory, libelous, spread unsubstantiated rumours & can effect the mental health of those involved. Even discussion & debate of known facts or media reports can lead to finger pointing, blame & personal attacks.

The repercussion is that these discussions can open this website, it’s owners & it’s users to legal action & may result in this website being forced to shutdown.

Our moderating team are all volunteers & cannot moderate the forum 24/7 & as a consequence problematic content that contravenes our rules & standards may go unnoticed for some time before it can be removed.

We reserve the right to delete posts that offend against our above policy & indeed, to ban posters who are repeat offenders or who breach our code of conduct.

WE HAVE BUILT A FANTASTIC ONLINE COMMUNITY AT DEMONLAND OVER THE PAST 23 YEARS & WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS THE CLUB WE LOVE & ARE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT.

Thank you for your continued support & understanding. Go Dees.

Wilson pulls no punches and is clearly [censored] off; good.

I reckon Martin is the bad version of Ollie Wines.

Martin move best for Richmond

At some point you just have to cut your losses. Not to mention negotiate the best possible trade from the club prepared to take a punt on Dustin Martin.

After reading the Carro article you would have to agree with Ignition who says we should target Rockliff over Martin. Let's focus on adding Cross and Swallow to our midfield and keep our culture relatively intact!

Quite. And I'm hoping that when Melbourne talks about having interest in this ratbag, it's really doing so to deflect attention away from its search to attract some really solid citizens who can also play good football in the midfield.

It's interesting also that Carro's finally decided to fully lift the lid on the Dustin Martin story and what an embarrassment he is to the Richmond Football Club. Of course, she still writes in complimentary terms of the work of Richmond officials like the hardworking club chiefs. At other clubs such people would be accused of covering up the club's poor culture and the misdeeds of its players and demanding the sacking of the board and CEO.

a lot of the media stuff re martin is a complete beat-up.

Guy with skulls tattooed on his hands, earns 500K but can't pay a phone bill, takes 'sleeping pills' on nights out.

They are all subtle (ha!) indicators about what's really going on.

I have posted in the past that we never draft 'mongrel'. This is more mongrel than the rest of the club combined.

I'm not 100% against it, but the club needs to consider that on a personality level he is the diametric opposite of a guy like J Viney.

So you would rather a unproven player over a proven gun who would win a Charlie under Roosy?

I don't want Martin at the club, the price is too high.

I think he will find it very difficult to find a club that will meet his demands, many are backing away and if you think they would do this because of a media beat up you are misguided.

As for Crouch, I would be happy to see us pick him up. He has real mongrel about him, ask his brother.

To much baggage for me. Allegedly already on 2 strikes. Not worth the risk.

I'd rather us focus on Taylor Adams & Sam Docherty.

Where did you get that info from, I've not read that before other than a poster on here suggesting that IF he was, he should have to inform us. He wasn't indicating he was just hypothesising .

Do you have any other info: because if that's the case we should avoid him like the plague.

Mate's uncle is on the Filth board. Whether that makes it gospel or not who knows, but that's what he told me mid season.

News breaking! Dustin Martin seen on a flight at 5am from Punt Rd to AAMI.

Dustins agent was seen purchasing a house on Pun Road just across from Gosch Paddock. Word is so Dustin can roll straight out of bed and skip across the road to Dees training while Dees officials can stick camera's on his place 24/7 to monitor his activites.

Not that long ago she wrote a very specific article aimed at him listing the reasons why he should stay with Richmond...

Oh how things change!

I'm writing this regardless of if we get Martin or not, but Wilson's comments last night on FC were pretty rough.

She mentioned:

How reporters have been told by the AFL to go easy on him because he fragile

Richmond is tired of baby sitting him (listed players he has stayed with and how they will be relieved)

Told how he has a minder

ect.

Didn't mention his football, development or as Hutchy pointed out his bad manager - just personal attacks.

Not that long ago she wrote an article basically addressed to him listing the reasons why he should stay.

I found myself recently liking her articles and wanting someone like her on panels - but that was just disgusting journalism focused on character bashing with no comment about football

wilson writes: "and the reason for that mess is crystal clear"

It's clear to me what she's saying - we should ice any ideas of getting dusty.

Worse than character assassination, she effectively admitted suppressing negative stories about a RICHMOND player in the off season.

As some pointed out here at the start of the year, she did not show the same consideration to a certain COLLINGWOOD player.

There was no shortage of rumours about what Dusty was up to in the off-season but none of them materialised in the press. And CW seems to be saying that she colluded with her club to keep those stories out of the public eye.

Now that might be a good thing for the bloke's long term future, but she did not show that concern for Dane Swan.

For mine, I hope that Roos is using this to signal our willingness to trade for midfielders. I really do hope we don't get this bloke.

A no-ratbag policy is preferred. We can do better and I hope Roos' talk is all about letting others know we are in the game. No more.

    DEPTH CHARGE by Whispering Jack

The jubilation on the coach’s face as he danced a celebratory jig by the playing bench after the final siren sounded to record his team’s four-point victory over the Demons when the teams last met, said it all.    On that rainy Friday night at the Adelaide Oval, Ken Hinkley’s young midfield secured much more than four points on offer. The victory over one of the big dogs of the competition after a succession of wins over some of its lesser lights gave his team respect and validation fo

    HIBERNATING by KC from Casey

When they locked up the rooms for summer at the end of last year’s football season, the rooms gathered cobwebs, the atmosphere became dense and the place developed a sleepy feel. They opened up the rooms to let Casey out to play on Sunday but the team was still hibernating and they missed the bulk of the opening quarter. By the time they worked out it was game on, their opponents from Box Hill had accumulated five goals and, if the game wasn’t over, it might as well have been. For a se

A FORK IN THE HAWK by George on the Outer

For too long in the past, Demon fans became habitually sick and tired of watching the Hawks hand out thrashings to their side. But Melbourne’s empahtic 55-point win at the MCG on Saturday has truly put a fork in the Hawk and turned that history well and truly on its head. The Demons have now won nine of their last ten encounters with the other result, a draw.     And like a fork, it was the multi-pronged options that Melbourne had all across the ground.  It certainly helped that Hawthorn
