Malcolm Turnbull is an embarrassment to the Liberals. They will lose in a landslide. The only people who like him are those who don't and wont vote Liberal anyway.

Like him or hate him as you do, he did what he campaigned and was elected to do. Stop the boats, abolish the carbon tax and abolish the mining tax. Any fair minded person can see that a PM who does what he/she was elected to do is on the right track. If Shorten campaigns to block the FTA with China and wins a mandate at the election I will think it is crazy but expect him to do it when he takes office.

... except he didn't do what he said. He still cut funding to the ABC and SBS when he said he wouldn't. He changed pensions when he said he wouldn't. I work in a financial adviser's office and I can tell you that there are A LOT OF people who voted for him who are [censored] off about this. He didn't introduce his signature maternity leave scheme.

He did not do what he was elected to do. He did SOME of what he was elected to do.

Strange thing is Labour would happily have let Abbott win Canning as he is the best thing they have going for them. Shorten will certainly have to lift his game against Turnbull but suggest parliament will be the easiest place to do that. Move a bill for the republic or climate change or gay marriage and watch the libs and Nats tear themselves apart.

There were no excuses for failure by others when he was purely a sniper in opposition. The Infrastructure Prime Minister who I don't believe managed to build a Federally funded national toilet block in his tenure,

That was Tony, the attack dog who dragged our politics to a new low level. His personal attacks on Gillard were beyond anything we had experienced in our politics to date. And his advocacy for the coal industry is beyond the pale in my view environmentally but just plain stupid economically as well. He will be damned in history in 50 years time I suspect.

The sad thing is the people never wanted him, & he should not have ever been given that honor... he got there by default, out of a protest from the people of the mayhem of Rudd administration, Rudd had to go after he faulted under pressure of abbott, & also the right wing media savaging, & the mining industry.

If they'd had their way what with copayments and cutting hundreds of millions out of the forward estimates of the States' health budgets, then those worthless poor ( not including me I hasten to add) would have been forced to fend for themselves just as they should ( as happens in the Home of the Brave and the Land of the Free where those wretches have to sell their almost worthless houses to pay for their childrens' appendix operations which is just the market economy expressing itself as the cream rises to the top and the dregs sink).
