For the first time ever, I've had an absolute gutfull of Trengove. I'm a fan, but he is in struggle town.

And Dawes us having a shocker. Letting his opponent get to him.

I totally agree with you Jaded, he is a shadow of the young fellow we drafted. He done nothing but turn the ball over tonight.

Dunn would have to be the worst player to ever wear the jumper!!

We don't have any accumulators.

That's the difference. Blokes who can rack up 30+ touches. Run hard, link up, kick the ball Ok, be involved.

2 of those and we'll have 40 extra disposals a week, which will go a long way to closing the gap in possession and making us more competitive.

Fitzy , poor game, 4 goals.

The sort of performances we need from players having a tough day.

This is the most disappointing performance since that [censored] of a coach left.

Are you for real?

I think mum and dad have gone out for the night and she's hit the liquor cabinet!

Shocking decision. No more deliberate than half of the oobs tonight.

Matt Jones has been good.

Game over. Poor quality game and hopefully Garland's injury isn't too bad.

Anybody would think we were 100 points down going by the comments...... Trengove, watts and fitzy are our highest dreamteam point scorers and Viney has the most possession for us..... 14 points down.... I reckon thats about we're we are at....

McGuire has given Dawes a bath tonight.

He's not a play maker.

It's the poorest midfield performance we have had under Craig. Defensively we have been crap, and against a weak opponent.

Plus poor returns from a lot of players. This game may be a financial win, but its costing us physically.

why cant dawes catch the ball is his eyesight bad very poor

Why is it other teams can find space and Melbourne cannot

Fitz would have to be ahead of Dawes as a player, sure dawes has leadership, but we can only have so many tall forwards and if clark is alright to play next year, Dawes might find it pretty tough

you're right but he is clean and uses it well compared to the rest of our mids. I think he is one who will benefit from better midfielders around him.

I don't disagree. I'm not really sure what Dawes gives us. A false target.

Because their spread is half arsed as is their disposal.

Harsh marker.

A lot of trash talk on here tonight! Playing footy in. 95% humidity doesn't assist in marking the ball overhead.

We have been ok tonight, a good comeback game from last week...

Reality.

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the
