Definitely bending rpfc. But it's just a bit of fun. But also interesting to consider what the game might look like in 5 or 10 years. The MFC have been so reactive over the years in terms of the trends of the game. It would be great to be seen as an innovator and a trend setter. The mobility and the depth of mobility in our tall department is genuinely unique. Why not try to exploit that?

Keep Fitzy. I'm more optimistic of his future ability exceeding expectation (I hope) than anyone else we have (this week).

Last year a certain poster (not suggesting who, rpfc) canned my wanting Jamar traded as I thought Gawn & Martin would be better rucks this year.

Jamar should be traded now (with Peder or Sellar if anyone wants them) pursuant to finding 2 gun mids.

But the way Fitzy's developing he may be able to play any position on the field soon.

Did anyone see Fitzy recently going for a mark at FF against 2 defenders; he just rucked it to Watts who nimbly crumbed & goaled. It was beautiful. (or was I dreaming?)

Jamar was not going to get anything last year, he was an UFA who surprisingly to everyone re-signed midseason.

He is now worth very little and will not get you the left leg of any promising mid out there.

Jamar's future value to this club may be in making Gawn and Spencer better than they otherwise would be without the presence of a very good tap ruckman.

Kicked four great goals and generally carried on from where he left off two weeks ago (last week against Geelong in that re-enactment of 40,000 Leagues Under the Sea doesn't count).

He was unbelievably lucky not to have picked up a total knee reconstruction out of this farce of a game tonight.

You would think if he ran out the game, with a week to recover, he should be ok.

I'd bring Spencer in next week and give Gawn a rest, which will actually allow Fitzy to ruck less.

I am much much more worried about Garlo. He's our rock down back and anyone forced to use crutches and has a history of foot injures, is unlikely to get away with not missing a few games.

Get on twitter Chook! It's amazing! I follow news, sport (mfc stuff in particular) and occasional comedy (or attempted comedy). I don't follow celebrities.

Plus it takes all of 4 seconds to catch up on it. If you use it as an information service and follow the right people you'll find it great.

For example you only have to follow about 10 people and you'll get all the relevant content from the tv news and major news papers all without wasting your life flicking through the sun or watching 6pm news

Well the markets closed on most improved player at our B&F, 4 goal effort in these conditions, to get injured and continue on, and his 4th goal came at critical time (shame we couldn't go on with it). I keep asking the question where he will fit in for the future, but for now I'm just enjoying watching him playing well and clearly enjoying his time out there.

Assuming the return of Clark we have a forward line of Mitch, Dawes, Hogan, Fitz, Watts and Howe to choose from. You cant play all of them so thats either great insurance or a very strong hand at the trade table at end of year.

Watts rucking is part of Watts' development, Fitzy's knee is fine, watch the speed he uses to clear away from the defender to mark for his 4th, he also made no mention of it in post game interview
