I hate comments like the one you're referring to. It's so easy to anonymously pot a bloke like she did without anyone being able to verify the information. If I had the same types of experiences I may express reservations, but I wouldn't do it in the fashion the poster did. Although you'll always get others "liking" such comments because it merely endorses their own ill-informed view. Imo, all of the views about Kennett are either biased or ill-informed. Naturally, including mine.

in case you missed the tenet of the post...It was to suggest the original whack might want to be fleshed out...at elast some...at least in nature.. for the exact reason you allude to...annonymity together with grievance is not always the recipe for anything that ought to taken too seriously. He might be correct , he might not, he , like us all as you quite rightly mention have a bias, of one sort or another.

As the tone of many of the posts above support JGK seems to be either hated or loved. (Well maybe not loved) My point being that the last thing the MFC needs at the moment is such a devisive figure at the helm.

...and that is the truth.

Sheedy, we passed him up 5 yrs ago, mistake in hindsight.

Kennett, are we going to overlook him too? Will we live to regret it???

If he can turn the tide I think he will be more embraced don't you?

Hardly, I don't see anywhere that he is endorsed.

I think you will find a restructure of the board and probably a new president maybe as early as this weekend.

The Buddy Ball is AFL endorsed and he hasn't kicked any goals for a while either

'Kennett for president' is only slightly more sensible than the recent 'Tebow time' proposals.

Leigh 'retired from all coaching ten years ago and not at all interested' Matthews for coach was another chortler that got spun out by someone recently.

Who ARE these comedians coming up with this stuff?

So if Bozo the Clown (only marginally different to Kennett) offered his services, it should be taken seriously?

Kennett is a million to one chance. Forget him.

It is time to take on a completely fresh approach to fix something that has been broken for 50 years. If it takes non Melbourne supporters, like Jackson and Kennett to rebrand us, give us corporate governance, profile, gravitas, sponsorship, respect, even success (dare we dream) - then why not? We are severely lacking in all these areas. Kennett's performance on Footy Classified early this year was almost statesman like in its depth of understanding of the issues within the AFL and in his role at Beyond Blue similar understanding of the frailties of the human condition.

I have not watched footy classified since , he was a breathe of fresh air on there

It's a throwaway line referring to the fact that demetriou has backed jeff as a capable president for the dees

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
