For the record, I resigned as a Mod. Another case of you being light on the fizz with the facts.Run off and find some witches.

Hhhmmmm. I'm not so sure! You were (probably still are) very much in the outer with the Administrators. They may come in and try and save face with you. But my investigative skills say otherwise.

Either way (and I know I'm right) this place is a much better place without you abusing the power you once had. In effect you were the pope, sticking the match to the accused witch hunters

Yeah, Rhino once banned me for calling someone a juvenile. Very thin skinned for a pachyderm.

And other mods have banned your for other antics as well. FTR the matter I banned you for was agreed by the other mods and administrators and that was after a number of warnings to desist from attacks against an MFC player at the time. And it was for more than what you claim and it was clearly explained to you at the time.

I have posted this as a matter of record but the mods can remove my response and ADCs post because they are not on topic.

Even when you are given the facts straight out you still don't get it.

Your investigative skills? FMD.

You can justify your reasoning Rhino. Deaf ears from me and probably others. Your the Vinegars [censored] of (past) mods. Your witch hunts are legendary.

Childish and ridiculous request.

Then every player, official and coach should do the same since 1965. They have all failed.

It does not just scurrilous and pathetic slur on Connolly.

Even if there was an explanation you would be the last person to deserve it and the last person to get it (in more ways than you can work out)

i beg your pardon?

What gives you the moral right to stand on the grassy knoll Rhino?

I would be the last person to deserve it...and you are??

Typical form.

I and others have pointed your graceless stance on Connolly.

It got nothing to do with moral stance but more of bleeding obvious.

Definitely the last person to get it.

Why change your tone (social skills) since becoming a mere mortal on here? Fact coming from your mouth means nothing considering the ego you work with.

I agree, delete the posts mods. From my point of view and my reasoning, you can't cast stones on others regarding behaviour when your own behaviour has been deplorable.

No it's the Rhino way.

"My way or else"

Its the only way you know how to operate.

I consider CC's silent exit far more graceless than my opinion on the matter.

Ahh, I can see where the renowned investigative skills are based on.

The meaning is. You have no credits I'm my bank. I would never take your word!!

I played for a short time in the Coreen & District League against Leon and Peter Sandral who were then at Rennie.Jim was an outstanding centre half back for Corowa, though I did see him beaten twice in the one season by Rutherglen's centre half forward. His name was Hassa Mann, who was then about 18 or 19 and was working in the bank in Rutherglen.

Lol i played at rennie two years ago. We won the flag in 2011. Very small world!

It is indeed a small world. I doubt there are many here who would have heard of Rennie.

I played for Buraja for two years (1963-64)before going to work in New Guinea.

There is no Buraja team now. They were then really Hopefield Buraja and I think they might have recently combined with Coreen and Daysdale to get enough players.

Country football has gone through some tough times.

Has the Coreen League folded? What league does Rennie now play in?

Posted

Yeah coreen has folded. Most of the teams went into the Hume League. Rennie are now in the Picola and district football league. Didnt want to go into the Hume due to long distance travel experience through the Coreen League.

Rennie went through a tough period 3 years ago with the passing of Mick Sandral son of the Great Jim.

Sorry to hear about Mick. The Sandrals are a highly respected family, having had a farm at Redlands, near Corowa, for a number of generations.

Country football has always entailed considerable travel. We went as far north as Urana and west to Blighty to play matches. However, there was always a friendly country pub there in which to have a few (or many) drinks with the opposition after the game.

Occasional pie nights at the pub after training were a highlight of the season. None of this strict diet mentality. Nothing like country hospitality.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
