so your improvement is based on winning more games than last year?

Better then losing more!

But games one is a good indicator of improvement, especially since the MFC only won 4 games last year.

Not that it matters but I was at the ground and though the structures were fine

What went wrong is we lost 1 v 1 contests and our young blokes couldn't keep up for the whole game. Costly costly turnovers and poor decision in possession made the hawks look good.

HH please point out tactical errors Neeld made or is the the [censored] comment thread?

[censored] me what a surprise losing to a top 4 side at our developmental stage

I have no doubt you believe that :)

Not really but I do want Mark gone!

Thanks for sharing :) .... In all seriousness there are 100 other I hate mark Neeld threads - post rubbish in those.

If you want to discuss issues in details about the team and their performance let's at least have one thread where we can do that

I'll repeat the question I posed to HH - I was at the groung and thought the structure were good - we got punnished for poor turnovers and lack of experience.... What tactically wrong did you think Neeld failed at?

we got smashed by Port and Gold Coast too genius

wake up

No you wake up jackass

both those sides have pretty good mids - what structurally did MN fail at??

Hot tip you can't answer it because you're a I hate neeld [censored] - all you offer is enjoyment of your club suffering - you're a leech

Hugely encouraged by what I saw today. Yes, the scoreline when taken in isolation is damning, but it in no way reflects the game. That is some of the best football I've seen us play in recent years, let down by poor disposal when we were attacking. Why was the score so bad? The inability of many of our players to kick properly to a leading target and the fact that when passing to a player running past they tend to pass it TO them rather than AHEAD of them. The number of times I saw these two things mess us up is astounding, and they often don't even count as clangers, because they do reach their target, but in such a way as to destroy their attacking momentum. TWO THINGS to fix and we would have seen a more competitive score today. I'll take that over some of the other games we've seen this year.

In case you arent watching hes the worst coach of all time

And tomorrow he will be gone, thank christ.

If you still think Neeld should stay then you don't understand AFL football. Sick of these supporters accepting mediocrity. Doesn't matter anyway he's gone this week.

Who said anyting about Neeld staying

I asked a simple question

Structurally what did Neeld do wrong? I don't believe his coaching was poor today - doesn't mean I think he'll stay as there are too many other factors but once again

I am happy that Neeld will be gone tomorrow.

Close family member has link to a player. They have to stay in their"structure" with their location determined by the GPS. If they move outside that structure that's a breach of team rules and they get dropped. They are scared.

Encouraged by a 100 point belting by a playing group and fd that is being paid the same as the opponent?

Yes, the loser culture is well and truly embedded in the MFC.

Don;t bother. It's not just that they are incapable of providing an analytical post, but that they think the comments they are making are in fact valid arguaments. I've tried to explain that their complete and utter failure to provide any evidence to back up their claims is basically conceding the point, but they respond with "Neeld is crap and we keep losing" and not much else.

How many times do I need to repeat myself to you dumbasses

The result was a reflection on our poor execution and in-experience yet you muppets dont' even want to discuss or can't identify the difference in a debate about team performance to If MN should stay

Where do i say neeld should stay?

isn't this thread about the team's ability?

Wake up morons there are enough I want neeld gone threads

Haha true RM not sure why I am bothering

I just thought the team offered a bit today - poor skills and inexperience really cost us today - Hawks are top 4 if not top 2 and muppets on here just want to dance on graves

Just shows how [censored] weak this club is

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the
