6- Howe ( Fantastic all day . Skills were sublime )

5 - M.Jones ( Far from outstanding , but our only successful runner )

4 - Frawley ( overwhelmed , but focused all day )

3 - Trengove ( actually looked fit and played accordingly , though was still swamped )

2 - McKenzie ( hard at it all game , but rarely hurt opposition )

1 - Jamar ( merely for weight of knockouts , but unfortunately little support from onballers )

Absolutely not.

He was rucking against Zac Clarke. Clarke is awful. He's only playing because Sandilands and Griffin are injured.

To take 0 marks all day is pathetic for a ruckman. 1 kick is just as bad.

Jamar was rank.

Who cares.

Get some real people running the club before even considering who the "best" players are.

Such negativity. This is a positive thread to reward those who actually try.

x 2. Only blokes who went hard at the footy once today. When the footy miraculously made it into our forward 50, davey was the only bloke who made any attempt to keep it there. Watch him nev and tapscott, learn something ffs

  1. Mckenzie (put effort in which is something a majority need to look at, his & Nicho's shortfalls would not stand out as much if some other players put the effort in neither of them are any worse than Matt DeBoer, Adam Selwood, Brad Dalziell or others on AFL lists who are surrounded by quality Mids)

M.Jones

Terlich he will be a big out if broken ribs confirmed

Trengove

N.Jones he is all heart and god he would be a great asset in a good side

Howe a must keep for this club

Worst On Ground goes to Jamar. 20 something nothing hit outs against a d-grade ruckman and a rookie listed ruckman. 1 kick. 0 handballs. 0 marks. 6 tackles because he was too slow to ever get a hold of the ball.
Awful performance. He has quickly fallen away as a player, and the fact he still has 2.5 years of his contract remaining is a huge concern for us. At his best he would always compete hard, provide a marking option around the ground and feed it off to runners passing by after clunking the marks from kick outs, long kicks to the wing etc. This made up for the fact he never had a high disposal count.
Now he is a liability. if he wins a tap it goes straight to his feet and is useless. As soon as the centre bounce is done he falls over and we effectively play a man down from then on around the ground as he struggles to jog along to where ever he thinks the next stoppage will be. He wouldn't and shouldn't get a game at any AFL club based on form.

6. Howe - really good.

5. Trengove - possibly his best for a couple of years.

4. Terlich - continues to impress.

3. N Jones - if only he had some decent midfield support!

2. McKenzie - a bit closer to the Jordie we know and admire.

1. M. Jones - ok

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
