Would welcome him to the club in any role we can get him, but reckon he'd be very difficult to convince, seems to hate us even more after the job interview a few years ago.

i dont blame him

Absolutely what we need! and to swallow our pride and ask for the AFL's help!

A proven premiership coach would demand the respect of everyone at the club and could help find a solution to why the players are developing at negative million miles and hour.

i would have got him back in 09, not the worst idea we need to do something mayb not head coach but id take him in a niel craig type roll and also get cameron ling as mids coach

For sure, get him. We are so [censored] up at the moment, that it's going to need someone like Sheeds to really turn things round.

How did things get this bad? What has Cameron Schwab done to make such a large group of people want his blood?

It is not a large group of people, it is one or two journalists and a couple of posters on here....some others just follow

Let Sheeds prove that he can turn GWS's fortunes around!

Stuff Gws if were 1/2 a chance we should get him... he wanted to come to us before when garry n co. said no thanks, he span it in the media to make out he was interviewing us and turned us down. we stuff up again imagine the sponsers, supporters media hype surronding Sheedy at melbourne we would be a force again, think Sir Alex at Man u. Why did Carlton turn on one of there own to get MM?? Simply because u cant get better then the master coaches who have been to the top...

Come on..... who's been drinking?

Not ideal but far better option than Neeld in 2014. Would of been better tn Neeld in 2012 as well.

GWS are hot off the press and doing ok. Fortunes don't come into it.

It's a very simple no from me. Was does he bring to the table? Comedic value?

If we go down the experienced coach path then it's Mark Williams for me.

Sure things are not great at the moment, but we have to give Neeld time. Why, because the players have had it so good for so long, of course they're going to create a stink when someone comes in and challenges their cushy way of life. Imagine having to work and earn their hefty wages, the nerve!

Neeld deserves time, so too does the coaching panel, the likes of the CEO and even the board have had plenty of this, they should be the first one's in the gun, they have overseen our horrific culture continue with the likes of the tanking debacle, etc. Secondly comes the playing group, about time they are held accountable, as they are the one's ultimately responsible for our on-field performance.

If the time comes that Neeld must be moved on, an experienced coach should be the only option. Why not aim for a big target, as it would take a big target to turn this ship around. Clarkson? Fanciful. Sheedy? LOL. Williams? his time as a head coach is done. Paul Roos should be our main target. Unlikely? absolutely, but he loves to stroke his ego, no doubt he would find it hard to reject the chance of turning a basket case into a premiership-threat.

Just my 2 cents.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
