I was impressed by the quality and professionalism of the article until I realised the journalist also sported a beard

I watched the replay of the West Coast v Hawthorn game and I reckon we've got the Eagles covered. I counted at least three players with beards which means they have a poor culture and don't deserve their place in the competition.

That's not what you said in another thread where you stated you would return your membership and the club would not get another cent from you....

I will return Stuie when changes are made.

And they will be made.

So which is it, are you staying or going?

You say you'll be around for "the next 30 years" in one post, and the VERY NEXT POST you say you will return when changes are made.

Have some guts and make a decision. You don't barrack for a CEO you barrack for a club.

I'm supporting the club through protest and agitation. The club must be saved from itself.

Once that happens we'll have a fighting chance to be around for another 30 years.

If it doesn't we'll die.

You're definitely agitating... But you're not saving the club.

If you want to sit there and and meekly accept your fate, that's your prerogative.

It's a shame, but it's your prerogative.

Nah mate, I'll support the club I love rather than try to tear it apart.

Yes. End of the season. I've said all along I don't blindly support boards/admins/CEOs/coaches, I believe in facts.

At the end of the season there should be a holistic review of the club. If it's decided any/all of Schwab, McLardy, Neeld, anyone else should be shown the door then I'll support it, but I won't support rabid fools doing their best to destabilize MY club when they can produce no evidence why they are doing so other than their own opinions.

I'm as frustrated as everybody else, and something HAS to change, but I won't risk change at a time when it may destroy our club.

So you are prepared to let this fester for another 5 months?

Personally i don't want the club to become any more damaged. Another 2 losses and it's war i predict.

Firing people left right and centre now will damage us MORE than being sensible and sorting things out end of season.

Time will tell. But i do not wish to imagine 20 more losses.

Our players do not want to touch the ball or an opponent!!

Agreed. If you've seen the movie "Moneyball" that (apparently according to the media) Neeld has based our list on, they get off to a terrible start also.

first time long time

Our playing group is shot for confidance its writtern all over there faces they are a beaten side before they go onto the ground and if this is not addressed we will lose to gws , it seems that bad they might need cansoling of some sort.

How can players who were AA go backwards so far they look like amatures... our skill levels that bad we drop chest marks. The group has not been managed or developed for to long.

After all they are human and all the [censored] thats been written in the papers and the booing by us fans hasnt helped

we need to back our boys!!

Yes Stuie a script with a happy ending starring Brad Pitt.

Our club is real. We are going backwards fast.

Patrick Smith, Ms Wilson and a few other journalists, when writing about MFC, go just a bit too far - reminds me of "Sunday Sport" and the "WW2 bomber on the moon". If we look through the history of football, clubs go up and down, but supporters stick with them. If we use the Smith figures as a yardstick, and say any team which performs that badly is out, or will be merged, how long will it be before the next side is forced out, to be replaced by the Tassie Devils or something. No club would be safe.

While its hard to disagree with some of his kicks, I think he went to far. Mr Smith should look at Melbourne's history. Look at the players who have performed so brilliantly over the years. Look what Melbourne has contributed to the history of the game. Then apologise.

Moneyball is a 2011 biographical sports drama film directed by Bennett Miller from a screenplay by Steven Zaillian and Aaron Sorkin. The film is based on Michael Lewis's 2003 book of the same name, an account of the Oakland Athletics baseball team's 2002 season and their general manager Billy Beane's attempts to assemble a competitive team.

Port played with an intensity and strategies that exposed Melbourne as mentally brittle and a team without any systems at all

Agree with Patrick Smith here. We were lost. When we got 5 goals behind, we waved the white flag (again).

And against Essendon, they asserted themselves and we just let them. No system. No strategy.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
