Darkhorse finished me off last week. I was hanging on by a thread (not this one). I mistimed my run. May now fall 1 win short from the 8.

I look back to that lose to HT's team. I still cant figure out how he won that. I hope the Poms serve him flat beer ;)

You havent confirmed. You have posted, but nothing suggests (as yet) you are returning.

I need confirmations, (username with DT team) if I need to PM someone with their league code in 2014 I need to know who is who, or the leagues may end up with "ghost ships". This year all 3 leagues were filled at random. Next year will be invite only, to ensure everyone is placed in there correct league. (After all the data from 3 leagues have been sorted through). Hopefully next year we have enough returning numbers for at least 2 leagues.

The final eight in all 3 leagues are locked in. Good luck to the teams hoping to win their respective GF. (& bragging rights)

Perhaps someone from the All Stars & the Rookie Leagues can post an update (as the above) with progressive scores.

I'm demanding a recount! How on earth can I be sitting in 9th position (hardtacklers) when I haven't logged in and visited my team in many many weeks (at which time I was sitting pretty and stone motherless last)??? X Files (or at the very least, Twilight Zone) material.

Edit: Forget that, I just logged in and found I was in my rightful 18th position... the list above must be order of entry?

The OP is just a list of the current players in their current leagues. I suggest whatever your smoking, keep buying from the same supplier, its working. lol

You are correct, its just that, a list of players, and being updated as confirmations come in, and adding those not in a one of these DT leagues and wanting to be included for 2014.

As you have now realised your 'ghost ship' has hit a reef and its grounded itself :)

PS: If you are sweating on priority picks for 2014, you are going to be very disapponted. Its doesnt exist in these leagues.

Having said all of that, you may as well put me down for 2014... every comp needs a good set of shoulders to stand on :)

I know our footy team is crap, but you are taking replicating their performance with yours a bit far :)

Noone likes to play against a team they know is more-or-less is a walkover. Having said that you are IN for 2014. You can only improve, if you try.

Select "Rank by Total Points" in your ladder.

The top score of 34,807 seems a bit low compared to the Legends top score of 38,864

The normal ladder doesnt take into account the 1st 3 games played.

Man I wish there was an easy way to export these ladders.

I think I left the wrong figures in the first table, that might have been points against by accident.

1. Cellar Dwellers Nathan 38901 44

Thats better! :) This is what we use to allocate the top scores, the top 18 into Legends, then the next best 18 and so on.

The rookie league is scoring well.

Yep thx . Choke got there in the end :)

Just so there isnt any confusion. These Rank x Pts will only be used for sorting out next years leagues. If we retain the interest, 2014 onwards will work on relegations and promotions pending ladder postions. If you finish last, you drop to a lower league, if you win the GF in a lower league you get promoted. I'll go into more detail at a later date. Waiting on numbers to make up the leagues. (The All Stars are lagging on confirmations).

I have mentioned this before. anyone that isnt in one of the 3 leagues at present.

Feel free to post your intentions. Its open to anyone wanting to be part on it in 2014.

    DEFUSE THE BOMBERS by Meggs

Last Saturday’s crushing loss to Fremantle, after being three goals ahead at three quarter time, should be motivation enough to bounce back for this very winnable Round 5 clash at Windy Hill. A first-time venue for the Melbourne AFLW team, this should be a familiar suburban, windy, footy environment for the players.   Essendon were brave and competitive last week against ladder leader Adelaide at Sturt’s home ground. A familiar name, Maddison Gay, was the Bombers best player with

    BLOW THE SIREN by Meggs

Fremantle hosted the Demons on a sunny 20-degree Saturdayafternoon winning the toss and electing to defend in the first quarter against the 3-goal breeze favouring the Parry Street end. There was method here, as this would give the comeback queens, the Dockers, last use of the breeze. The Melbourne Coach had promised an improved performance, and we did start better than previous weeks, winning the ball out of the middle, using the breeze advantage and connecting to the forwards.

    GETAWAY by Meggs

Calling all fit players. Expect every available Melbourne player to board the Virgin cross-continent flight to Perth for this Round 4 clash on Saturday afternoon at Fremantle Oval. It promises to be keenly contested, though Fremantle is the bookies clear favourite.  If we lose, finals could be remoter than Rottnest Island especially following on from the Dees 50-point dismantlement by North Melbourne last Sunday.  There are 8 remaining matches, over the next 7 weeks.  To Meggs’

    DRUBBING by Meggs

With Casey Fields basking in sunshine, an enthusiastic throng of young Demons fans formed a guard of honour for the evergreen and much admired 75-gamer Paxy Paxman. As the home team ran out to play, Paxy’s banner promised that the Demons would bounce back from last week’s loss to Brisbane and reign supreme.   Disappointingly, the Kangaroos dominated the match to win by 50 points, but our Paxy certainly did her bit.  She was clearly our best player, sweeping well in defence.

    GARNER STRENGTH by Meggs

In keeping with our tough draw theme, Week 3 sees Melbourne take on flag favourites, North Melbourne, at Casey Fields this Sunday at 1:05pm.  The weather forecast looks dry, a coolish 14 degrees and will be characteristically gusty.  Remember when Casey Fields was considered our fortress?  The Demons have lost two of their past three matches at the Field of Dreams, so opposition teams commute down the Princes Highway with more optimism these days.  The Dees held the highe

    ALLY’S FIELDS by Meggs

It was a sunny morning at Casey Fields, as Demon supporters young and old formed a guard of honour for fan favourite and 50-gamer Alyssa Bannan.  Banno’s banner stated the speedster was the ‘fastest 50 games’ by an AFLW player ever.   For Dees supporters, today was not our day and unfortunately not for Banno either. A couple of opportunities emerged for our number 6 but alas there was no sizzle.   Brisbane atoned for last week’s record loss to North Melbourne, comprehensively out

    GOOD MORNING by Meggs

If you are driving or training it to Cranbourne on Saturday, don’t forget to set your alarm clock. The Melbourne Demons play the reigning premiers Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields this Saturday, with the bounce of the ball at 11:05am.  Yes, that’s AM.   The AFLW fixture shows deference to the AFL men’s finals games.  So, for the men it’s good afternoon and good evening and for the women it’s good morning.     The Lions were wounded last week by 44 points, their highest ever los

    HORE ON FIRE by Meggs

The 40,000 seat $319 million redeveloped Kardinia Park Stadium was nowhere near capacity last night but the strong, noisy contingent of Melbourne supporters led by the DeeArmy journeyed to Geelong to witness a high-quality battle between two of the best teams in AFLW.   The Cats entered the arena to the blasting sounds of Zombie Nation and made a hot start kicking the first 2 goals. They brought tremendous forward half pressure, and our newly renovated defensive unit looked shaky.

    REMATCH by Meggs

The Mighty Demons take on the confident Cats this Saturday night at the recently completed $319 million redeveloped GMHBA Stadium, with the bounce of the ball at 7:15pm. Our last game of 2023 was an agonisingly close 5-point semi-final loss to Geelong, and we look forward to Melbourne turning the tables this week. Practice match form was scratchy for both teams with the Demons losing practice matches to Carlton and Port Adelaide, while the Cats beat Collingwood but then lost to Essendo
