Hi guys,

Ive just read the story about Dan Connors trying to resurrect his career. Is he worth a crack for a very late pick. He is only 24 and not a bad footy player. Can play multiple positions. Let me know what you think

while yes he may be a decent footballer i think he would be a big NO! He is not what we would want around our club given that we're beginning to build a strong culture, he's had too many chances and to have him in the team would probably prove to be a bit of a distraction as people would feel we had to constantly keep an eye on him. He may not've done anything wrong when he was sacked but he has done many other things.

Wouldn't consider it for a second. There are more than enough "pretty good" players out there that actually want it enough to behave at the required standard, so there is no need to waste time on guys like him.

Im loving the response to my question. I say hell no as well, i just had a mate of mine wanting him.

This one has been brought up before. Connors can play but is poison, let him prove himself in the state comps (and not at Casey) for a couple of years then look at him.

No!

I don't like him socialising with that dastardly Dustin Martin....he makes him sleep in..

Simply not a good enough player to justify such a risk.

With the culture Neeld and co have been building, he would not fit in. We want hard workers who don't [censored] around. He f*cks around big time and doesn't have the work ethic to fit into our elite environment. He also isn't a huge talent like say a Ben Cousins to take the risk on.

That's a "No" from the Melbourne Football Club.

How many good games has he played?

I don't know his career well on the ground...

My Richmond mates tell me on his good days he was a average to good player.

None of them were worried when he was cut.

Their comments seemed be a along the lines of " plenty of his ability in the system".

Could we just draft him just to hear what venom denham would say.

Seriously though no way. Have a look at the photo, he just looks like a bit of a tool and also he is obviously a bad influence especially since Dustin Martin has been banned form socialising with him.

We should only pick bad boys, a team of bad boys, i could see martin out the door soon, bad boy to the core, he will get busted with drugs soon

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
