If someone was rubbish compared to Spencer they wouldn't be playing in the AFL. I admit Wood isn't a star but in my opinion he'd do a better job than Spencer as a back up ruckman.

And strangely enough, he finds himself not on AFL list. It's a real skill to somehow accidentally argue against your own point.

Whilst holding nothing personal against Jolly, one can only hope that the second half of your sentence comes true.

I haven't looked at their list closely, but is the big Q the only alternative ruckman now?

Hallelujah - will their Golden Boy Bucks under as much pressure as Golden Boy Jimmy at Bummerland? He certainly will be if they drop many rungs on the ladder in 2013.

Isn't this why they went for Lynch? An each way bet on rucking and forward.

Lynch may or may not fit the bill as a forward/ruckman but if Jolly falls over he can't fill the role of #1 ruck. Can anyone imagine him against Cox or Sandilands?
