Go and read what you wrote.

I'm not going to go into the rest of it - it is pointless. i too write stuff when I am angry and it is never a good idea.

I re-read it once and replied to your venting of frustration toward my posts.

That seems to be all it was, as next to nothing you were accusing me of saying was accurate.

Rates him as what. I lloked for some praise in that quote and couldn't find any.

You can only put on a very small amount of muscle in 6-8 weeks. You can cut (a bit), which combined with a small amount of muscle growth can make you appear different, but in reality there wouldn't be much muscle gain.

I wonder if the attitude has changed substantially.

:) The article is entitled "Kangas on the Climb - Nth Melb captain Andrew Swallow rates the young guns"..... he just gives comments on about 10 young players on where they're at, Binman.

Any Boomer-esque comments?

Such a shock that a skipper rates his new recruits. I could see our co jacks coming out and saying "that bloke um .... what's his name Pedo or something? Yeah he is a A grade spud"

Wait for the backlash if moloney wins a b&f, rivers gets an all Australian, Gysberts and petered play finals and pederson can't get a touch.

if that happens i will join the backlash

but it will only happen in your *** dreams

With bail?

Please explain.

Same social group.

Good friends, once upon a time.

Bail challenged Gys at training to lift his game.

Gys told him where to go.

Tension ever since - got quite willing at times.

Yeah, but what is the chances of that happening?

Moloney was not buying in and we wish him well for his 8 years service, Rivers spent a decade at the club and deserved to go and find some glory in his last couple of years, and Gysberts was a skinny kid who wouldn't pull his finger out.

Neeld had enough trouble with trying to get the best out of his most talented players - he doesn't need to waste time on periphery project players like Martin, Morton and Gysberts.

Yes true, i was just being facetious.

However rates the the young guns doesn't necessarily mean he thinks they're any good and to be honest he seemed to be damning the Gys with faint praise - he was unbelievably skinny when he arrived, which really is largely (if not entirely) his fault.

Comments like he has come on dramatically smack a bit of a backhanded compliment and compared to his more effusive praise of other new recruits (he's hard at it, etc etc) a bit on the not so enthusiastic part of the how i rate my new team mate spectrum.

But to be honest i hope he does make it as an AFL player and that North can help him achieve that. Unlike some i would not see that as a knock on our development program. Footy is littered with people who have seized second chances and turned their attitude around.

I think in the interests of privacy, we need to be careful about mentioning names or innocent parties.

The fallout was mainly due to Bail challenging Gys to train the Neeld way and Gys resisted.

That is all.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
