We any chance of getting him?

Most of the talk going around is we will trade off pick #13, which is most likely where he will be around about.

Have a read of the article below.

If he is in the red and blue next year, I wont be complaining I like everything about him.

There is probably a timid, skinnier version of him that we will go for instead.

yeah , he writes up pretty good , where (pick) will he go ?

Membrey is the kind of guy I can see sliding a long way. Similar to Matthew Panos a few years ago who kicked a heap of goals in the championships, made AA CHF and didn't get drafted. Was a bit undersized, like Membrey but having said that I like the latter and wouldn't mind picking him up in the second round. 1st round, nah.

Line up behind me:

Like that Tim Membrey. I think he's got it (superstar quality), and it appears he's ready to go. Worth consideration at pick 13 IMO.

Posted

If he is still available, I think that Jake Stringer would be a better option. Membrey sounds good, but you get the feeling he will slide a bit, due to his lack of height.

Is Jack Darling's height a problem?

Like the look of him from brief highlights I have seen, may be small for a forward but seems (and pardon my french) to have thatbit of c%*t about him which every team needs. No more bruise free footy with the likes of him, Viney and possibly a Wines in our side.

Also another year into our younger guys who by now will be sick off being pushed around by the bigger sides. I recall the Cats about 9 years ago getting pushed around by the bigger and older sides now look at them

So what if we have to take JV at Pick 3 look at Membrey if available at Pick 22/23 or whatever it is and if JV goes to second round would not be adverse at taking Membrey at 13 if best available

I like the sound of that

J Viney at #3

Possibly B Grundy at #4

And T Membrey slipping to 23 win win

he not under sized 189cm is not under sized he the same Height as Ablett snr, jason dunstell, those two would not drafted, these days height is overrated, look at blaire and co at the pies, short and very good Recuiters are sheep, they lessen to the hype, beep test, running test are over rated, simon goddfre was the best runner in his time at the dees. The frist thing recuiter should be asking, can he hit a target, can he get the, ball can he play. Ever thing else u can train up later, its easy to train fitness then to teach them to kick

I am not concerned about height. If he is the better option then pick him. But if Í could not decide between 2 players, then I would pick the taller guy.

Jack Darling stands ar 190cm, Membrey at 189cm.

Will be a steal if we get him at #23 but I doubt it since his value has gone up with media attention.

If we get C Dawes, Having Dawes an Clark in the foward line, he will play the same role Darling does as 3rd tall.

Im just so hyped about this Kid.

Pick 13 for him please. Built like a brick shizenhousen and has that mongrel look about him. Exactly what we need!

Media hype would have little influence among recruiting circle inner sanctum decisions and draftees value.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
