The once only Nudge/Chili rumor round up

..... can't believe I'm doing this, I have done it once before when I was told by a good mate who has tie in's with Strauss that Joel Mac was getting delisted last year, that went well.

This one is too good not to "share":

Just spoke to a client who has a staff member who is 100% Goddard will be at MFC. Staff member was in Traralgon recently to watch a local footy GF I believe and spoke to Goddard's Mum who said he was going to be a Dee.. Take it how you will.

I live in traralgon and I know patty (bj's mum) I also know his sisters very well. I have asked them in his future no response which indicates to me he is on the move?

The other querie is patty being at the local footy I highly doubt she was there unless bj was with her.

Just thought id report now that we are chasing Levi Casboult from carlton. Have made inqiuries to his manager.

The John Butcher debate is starting to warm up which could involve a massive super trade that could land john butcher at the dees.

And Tom Young of collingwood has apperently been delisted. Not a bad player either just couldn't break into the strong collingwood lineup.

I relation to the super trade - this is how it could work?

Pick 13 (hopefully) to Gold Coast,

Caddy to Bombers

Bombers send Monfries to Port

Port send Butcher to Demonland!

Think Monfries is the weak link in value and he's FA so that needs a tweak...

Stranger things have happened!

Thanks for the good information DD36. Can you advise the basis of your info without relaying your source.

I have a fantastic idea.

If we get young Casboult to the club then we should book the team on a Yarra River cruise and get the whole lot of them totally shickered.

Then we chain Levi to the two captains and fill him up with more grog as part of an initiation ceremony, and then ...

What's that you say?

It's been done before?

Oh ...

I would think you would need to replace Monfries with Melksham or similar

I would welcome Butcher to the Dees with open arms, But not for P13... unless they (the coast) give a free pass to JV & they're 2rd Rnd Pick.

Contrasts nicely with the info I got yesterday from someone close to the Bombers, that he will be a Bomber next week.

No Chance Cards13. As much as i would like him in a red and blue jumper he is basically a bomber now.

perhaps his old lady gets blue & red confused with black and red!

Awesome rumour though

Just thought I'd jump in on the theme. In saying that I have absolutely no facts in anyway to back it up.

PS Nudge great job it certainly gets us thinking we are half a chance to improve.

Is this for real? Cause if it is that would be awesome.

You lot get sucked in by this guys (nudge) wild guesses every yr!!

Go back to his post last yr and see what % of his predictions came true.

If more than 2% of this comes true I will walk down Swanston st naked!!!!

From a Hawthorn scout: Melb have been looking at Matt Jones from Box Hill potential rookie24yr old.

Who got sucked in? Why does one get sucked in, getting involved with the fun? It's all a bit of fun, remember that? etoiles05.gif

Some would say we all got sucked in barracking for Melbourne.

What? You're not saying that it's all just wild speculation? I can't believe it. I honestly thought that if it came the internet then it must be true. Thanks for enlightening me.

The majority of people contributing in this thread have been around for years and don't need to be told of Nudge's track record. He's almost reached legend status around here these days. Take the rumours for what they're worth and stop assuming that everyone who has bought in to this thread is an idiot.

    DEFUSE THE BOMBERS by Meggs

Last Saturday’s crushing loss to Fremantle, after being three goals ahead at three quarter time, should be motivation enough to bounce back for this very winnable Round 5 clash at Windy Hill. A first-time venue for the Melbourne AFLW team, this should be a familiar suburban, windy, footy environment for the players.   Essendon were brave and competitive last week against ladder leader Adelaide at Sturt’s home ground. A familiar name, Maddison Gay, was the Bombers best player with

    BLOW THE SIREN by Meggs

Fremantle hosted the Demons on a sunny 20-degree Saturdayafternoon winning the toss and electing to defend in the first quarter against the 3-goal breeze favouring the Parry Street end. There was method here, as this would give the comeback queens, the Dockers, last use of the breeze. The Melbourne Coach had promised an improved performance, and we did start better than previous weeks, winning the ball out of the middle, using the breeze advantage and connecting to the forwards.

    GETAWAY by Meggs

Calling all fit players. Expect every available Melbourne player to board the Virgin cross-continent flight to Perth for this Round 4 clash on Saturday afternoon at Fremantle Oval. It promises to be keenly contested, though Fremantle is the bookies clear favourite.  If we lose, finals could be remoter than Rottnest Island especially following on from the Dees 50-point dismantlement by North Melbourne last Sunday.  There are 8 remaining matches, over the next 7 weeks.  To Meggs’

    DRUBBING by Meggs

With Casey Fields basking in sunshine, an enthusiastic throng of young Demons fans formed a guard of honour for the evergreen and much admired 75-gamer Paxy Paxman. As the home team ran out to play, Paxy’s banner promised that the Demons would bounce back from last week’s loss to Brisbane and reign supreme.   Disappointingly, the Kangaroos dominated the match to win by 50 points, but our Paxy certainly did her bit.  She was clearly our best player, sweeping well in defence.

    GARNER STRENGTH by Meggs

In keeping with our tough draw theme, Week 3 sees Melbourne take on flag favourites, North Melbourne, at Casey Fields this Sunday at 1:05pm.  The weather forecast looks dry, a coolish 14 degrees and will be characteristically gusty.  Remember when Casey Fields was considered our fortress?  The Demons have lost two of their past three matches at the Field of Dreams, so opposition teams commute down the Princes Highway with more optimism these days.  The Dees held the highe

    ALLY’S FIELDS by Meggs

It was a sunny morning at Casey Fields, as Demon supporters young and old formed a guard of honour for fan favourite and 50-gamer Alyssa Bannan.  Banno’s banner stated the speedster was the ‘fastest 50 games’ by an AFLW player ever.   For Dees supporters, today was not our day and unfortunately not for Banno either. A couple of opportunities emerged for our number 6 but alas there was no sizzle.   Brisbane atoned for last week’s record loss to North Melbourne, comprehensively out

    GOOD MORNING by Meggs

If you are driving or training it to Cranbourne on Saturday, don’t forget to set your alarm clock. The Melbourne Demons play the reigning premiers Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields this Saturday, with the bounce of the ball at 11:05am.  Yes, that’s AM.   The AFLW fixture shows deference to the AFL men’s finals games.  So, for the men it’s good afternoon and good evening and for the women it’s good morning.     The Lions were wounded last week by 44 points, their highest ever los

    HORE ON FIRE by Meggs

The 40,000 seat $319 million redeveloped Kardinia Park Stadium was nowhere near capacity last night but the strong, noisy contingent of Melbourne supporters led by the DeeArmy journeyed to Geelong to witness a high-quality battle between two of the best teams in AFLW.   The Cats entered the arena to the blasting sounds of Zombie Nation and made a hot start kicking the first 2 goals. They brought tremendous forward half pressure, and our newly renovated defensive unit looked shaky.

    REMATCH by Meggs

The Mighty Demons take on the confident Cats this Saturday night at the recently completed $319 million redeveloped GMHBA Stadium, with the bounce of the ball at 7:15pm. Our last game of 2023 was an agonisingly close 5-point semi-final loss to Geelong, and we look forward to Melbourne turning the tables this week. Practice match form was scratchy for both teams with the Demons losing practice matches to Carlton and Port Adelaide, while the Cats beat Collingwood but then lost to Essendo
