Caddy can play and we've heard he's going in for a shoulder operation, so he's been playing hurt.

Also, I read from a Gold Coast supporter that he hasn't had any inside support this year from Rischitelli, Swallow, or Prestia. When I combine those bits of information, plus having seen him dominate against Geelong he seems a good target.

That said, I reckon you're just as likely to get a better player at pick 13. So at what cost does he come to the club ?

1. Pick 13 may turn out to be as good or better. But then again there's a risk there that he won't. With Caddy we know what we're getting. No surprises.

2. Caddy has already done a two year apprenticeship and can hit the G running from round 1 next season.

Would the Suns settle for just pick 13 for him? That's the question.

Id be wrapt if get Monfries and Pearce, hope fully one or two others as well,maybe Knights.

Experienced players who can use the ball is what we need, mix those with the youth we pick up in the draft, and its an injection of 5 or 6 new guys into the team, who will be wanting to prove themselves.

After landing Mitch Clark last year, i have faith in Neelds plans.

Where did you get the idea that it was in Neeld's plans to get Monfries?

My money is on Byrnes.

Hope we could do better. 29 at start of season and averages less than 1 goal per game. This year 4 games and 1 goal. Hardly flattering stats.

Hope we can do better also. But looking at available small forwards, I don't see many. Unless we trade Martin for a Blair or Fasolo.

This is simple, draft Kennedy and you have both a very good crumbing small forward as well as a quick midfielder. Bringing him to the club is just about as important as getting Toumpas here.

there is no real evidence its a done deal, i wouldnt mind Monfries. hes got potential and combining with Clark, Sylvia (when hes forward) and howe could be something good

Interesting that this deal was a trade rather than a free agent pick up.

Port didn't dilute their compensation for Chaplin and Pearce and essendon got something back which they would not have otherwise because of picking up Goddard.

I wonder why we didn't do something similar with the cats for Byrnes? Perhaps his value is so low that it wouldn't impact our compensation. But you would think we would be in a similar position to the them particularly if the cats get rivers who's value is greater than Byrnes so they will not get any compo. But you wouldn't want anything diluting our compo if it can be avoided.
