Funny hey! a couple of months ago they were a rabble. Labled as irrelevant and in crisis. Some pathetic performances and huge floggings. Sound familiar? So what do they do? They sack the CEO and now they are sooo hot. Smart thinking by their board. Act quick to cut the cancer out. Somehow I don't think our board would be as proactive so we will continue to suck lemons. Enjoy the game tonight.

They were attacked in the media. It was backs to the wall stuff & they came out fighting, for one another. No doubt Archer who rallied when the club was attacked, & others gathered around the club.

I'm not a Schwab fan but if you seriously think our playing group from today would beat Collingwood tonight if only he wasn't CEO then your drunk.

North have had very few injuries all year and have a playing group with an average of 50+ games on our current group.

A lot of strong bodies who run hard both into space and straight at the footy. They understand that footy is a contact sport played by blokes who are supposed to knock over other blokes.

ADC - you are wrong on every count. This has been a 3 year process and then some. The kangas have been putting together a very strong list - painstakingly and are now reaping the rewards. I can tell you we wouldn't be complaining about having Bastinac, Atley, Ziebell or Kelvin on our list. IMO Brad Scott is the better coach of the twins - hasn't had the dream run and instant list that Chris has had. The currant Roos fortunes have had eff all to do with Eugene

What can we do go to get the players to rally?

Can you please explain how the CEO has such an effect on team performance?

I mean, should we stick Schwab in the guts next round considering our midfield is so poor?

With all the advantages we have had over them recently highlights the gross incompetance that has left us in this situation. Blaming the players and previous FD is protecting the real culprits.

Ask the players. Ask James Frawley why is not an All Australian anymore. Ask our draft picks why they are duds. Ask our experienced players why they have withered away.

Was I? I'm pretty sure I was singing the praises of Brad Scott and their recruiting.....and to extrapolate... the 3 years it's taken for them to put it together to make the finals

Culture. Roos have a 'backs to the wall' attitude. Call it shinboner spirit, or whatever...

Good list. Very good coach. Great leaders. Now have good facilities. Know the coaches game plan. Big bodies. Good skills, on the whole. We have some of these, but not many.

Big Bodies is what we didn't recruit.

How about answering my question first.

Even then, I doubt I could dream up enough far-out, whacked-out sh!t to answer yours.

So if I'm reading this right, the only intention ADC had when starting this thread was to take pot shots at Schwab?

They have a heart that ticks.

Sadly, we dont!

Until we have GRUNDY & VINEY running riot!

Well, they won 2 flags in the 90s and still have plenty of pride and a strong culture as a club.

Whenever things get tough, people make noise and demand change. Difference at Melbourne is that everyone points the finger and expects big changes without actual contribution or acknowledgement of problems.

You'd think we'd be awesome by now after how many CEO's we've had in the last 12 years or so.... Great logic ADC... Lol

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
