The next best thing after a Demons win is an Essendon loss and this mob have capitulated in fine style after being touted as a flag fancy earlier in the season.

Anyone who has mates who bang on and on about Hiiiiiiiirdy and Bombaaaaa will know what I'm talking about.

Go to Bomberblitz and follow the meltdown live. It's a guilty pleasure.

Went to Bomberblitz and felt certain I was looking at Demonland!

Half their side looks overweight to me.

My 1st impression also.

Then just put it down to their clash strip.

i love that they are hoping that no one bids on daniher so they can get him 2nd round. LETS BID FOR HIM

Maybe the $enile old bugger from GW$ is even more bitter towards Essendon for sacking him than us for not taking I'm and will bid for Daniher instead of Viney.

Daniher is exactly the player we need in the forward line also. I'd be more than happy if we picked him in the first round, but since that won't happen, making Essendon use their first pick on him is the next best thing.

If the report on Daniher on the AFL website wasn't just a beat-up, I don't think the Bombers will care where they pick him up.

Mind you - the quote was something like he's amongst the best ever, including Judd, Scully

I don't think the Bombers have won a game since they changed to their new grey away strip.

The curse of the grey/silver jumper strikes again!

The Weapon - 18 separate players who have had soft tissues injuries this year (nearly half of their list).

I'm shattered about the bombers. I wanted them to miss the 8 by one game. For all of the pre season they would have to hear and read how if only they didn't lose to Melbourne they would be in the 8. Pfffffft bombers.

As for the Melbourne win? There is no doubt that derailed our season. Perhaps the players got a bit ahead of themselves and allowed the hyped to get to them. So the loss meant more to us' date=' than the win did to the Dees.[/quote']

from Bomberblitz. Good stuff in a dark season.

I actually hate essendon more than collingwood. I have just laughed how there season has gone downhill so fast. They were in the top 2 and have been in the 8 for basically the whole season. They were even mentioned as premiership contenders.

Watching them last night I just laughed. They were terrible. Jobe is the only player I like and I feel for him because he has been carrying that team on his shoulders all season.

It also shows that Hird isnt Mr perfect afterall and this Hird/Thompson double act has failed again. As for the weapon well that is just funny.

What on earth is going on up there? Has a team ever thrown away a finals berth in such ridiculous fashion? It's like Melbourne v Adelaide round 21, 1995 multiplied by 50.

Maybe they just went up there for a holiday and are expecting us to beat Freo next week.

Collingwood and Carlton may both lose in one night, ruining one's chance of finals and denting the other's chance of top 4. This could be the greatest night ever.

Now that I've said this, they'll both probably pull wins out of their asses.

Although Carlton may have screwed themselves anyway. Without the percentage boost we thought they'd get, they mightn't be able to get past Fremantle, unless Fremantle themselves get belted by North tomorrow.

Im glad we ruined Essendon.

Most my mates are Essendon supporters and they all bag out Watts really hard,

up until the Essendon win, I only had Gumbleton to fall back on in comebacks.

But now, I have the Essendon win and Hirdys failure as a coach:)

Essendon supporters all immortalize Sir James, he can do no wrong and I often have

to hear that he was better than Gary Snr himself - yes god forbid!

They are buggered now Hird is failing, because they blame all their problems on Matty Knights.

So, I remind them that Knights is a successful VFL coach, whilst Hirdy just isn't cut out for coaching

the way that Buckley is, usually this shuts them up.

What a fantastic night of footy, both Carlton and Collingwood lose. Ending finals and Top 4 hopes. Throw Essendon in the mix getting done last night and Casey

clinching top spot, all in all a great set of results!

Add us beating Adelaide and the doggies knocking off the Cats, and it's a dream result for us!

I can't stand the Bulldogs. They're just so . . . bland.

I feel like Zap Brannigan and his hatred for the Neutrals whenever I watch the dogs.

"What makes a man turn neutral? Lust for gold? Power? Or were you just born with a heart full of neutrality?"

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
