I find it interesting that america de cali's posts about dissent, disharmony and failure within the club are absolute. I'm getting the feeling dissent, disharmony and failure is america de cali.

I thought by definition that suckers could not bite?

I think the mindless "sack everybody" comments are pointless, but i do think that questioning in reasonable. We lost two sponsors that were gained by members - Hancook and Kaspersky. Posters (I've forgotten who) commented that people at both places found melbourne hard to deal with - to the point of not returning calls and not knowing who their club contact would be week to week. Now, these complaints are effectively rumors, so the amount you can invest in them is pretty weak.

Then we signed up with energywatch, a company looking too good to be true. They were. All the while, Cam's overseen a huge increase in admin numbers. But we cannot make our TPP.

I think a little scrutiny is more than reasonable.

Its not rumours, both Kaspersky and Hankook stated publicly that they were not renewing their sponsorships because of the current administration and how difficult they were to work with.

Schwab set to stay on with Demons

Well the Club obviously have faith in Schwabby.

Not a bad thing IMO, need to have some sort of stability in the club for the next couple of years, and more chopping and changing wouldnt help

Good decision, I've met Cam a couple of times and he's a bit smooth, but it appears he's doing a good job for the club, financially, and good football administrators are hard to get.

We've tried CEO's from other fields before and they have been disastrous, so I'd rather he be reappointed than have another Steve Harris or Paul McNamee.

Stability for the sake of stability tends to bring instability.

I would trust your gut feel on this Robbie, also I'm not convinced in your using the word appears that you are totally sold. 3 years is a long contract if that's the case.

...but anyway the board obviously think he is doing a good job and I guess only time will tell. Personally I don't think it is a good move and I have given my reasons before in case anyone asks why.

No more from me on this now unless (and I truly hope I'm wrong) circumstances require otherwise.

Let's get on with it and get the club back to being a force.

Jonathon Brown would have been a great get..if we were $$$ up.

Salary cap, is salary cap, yep a 25 y.o Brown, that McNamee was a fool, to agree to such a plan.

I mean, we have great kids, that we needed to develop.

The ink was wet on the paper, so I was told.

Was horrible to see Kaspersky on the front of Naf Buckley's track suit when he was interviewed the other day.

I've always had the impression Brown has just been waiting around for some other club to offer up a huge bucket of cash so he can leave Brisbane. I can't quite work out why it still hasn't happened yet though.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. We’re already a month into the MFC preseason (if you started counting when the younger players in the group began the campaign along with some of the more keen older heads)

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
