If you've got the old Monopoly board game lying around, grab all the notes and try and get as close to you can as he enters and leaves ground during the game. At the GW$ interchange dugout and also the player's race where they enter and leave the ground. Wave it about, hold your wallet up even chuck the fake notes at him if you can get away with it.

If you haven't got Monopoly, photocopy some real money and take a few wads of that instead.

It'll get some publicity and will help further etch it into the minds of the footballing public that he is ... and always will be ... a disloyal mercenary.

Seriously .... URGING ANY AND ALL DEMON FANS at the game to do this on Sunday.

Why do I feel uncomfortable after watching that?

That's not strictly legal - mods??? - but would be fun all the same.

Today's HS article:

Jim Stynes sought Tom Scully honesty

Extract:

"...Stynes sought assurances and wanted Scully to be upfront and honest, yet was stunned at the revelation that Scully's father Phil had signed with Greater Western Sydney as a recruiter in October 2010.

Though publisher Penguin remains guarded, Stynes' view of how Scully and his advisers handled the saga is set to be less than complimentary.

There is still some residual angst at Melbourne, more about the perceived falseness of the final year than the decision to go itself..."

This is what really burns deep! Ok take the money...many have before...but where was the integrity and respect $cully. Lets honour Jim Stynes' sentiments and boo the hell out of $cully!

What sticks in my craw is that a 20 year old who had given nothing to the club in a very short period chose to move on. I could stomach a Nathan Jones who at least has banged in for 5 years.

Ablett gave his all to Geelong and then moved. This little upstart gave nothing and had the gall to be excited at starting at the the new GWS. How about being excited at starting at the new MFC you little twerp.

I don't know if I'll boo him, but I will certainly applaud every up and under turnover kick he makes. For someone who supposedly works his ass off to improve his skills, his kicking is terrible.

He didnt have the balls to come clean and lied to the players, the club and worst of all lied straight to the face of Big Jim while he was saving our club. Stuff him, not the kind of person i want wearing the red and blue

What do you expect the kid to do, he gets offered a [censored] load of money that would set him, his family and his future family up forever, and in the middle of it all he would just want to play the game that he, and all of us love. Sure he left and it sucks, but any other player in the competition would have made the same decision as him.

Fine. But do not LIE for over a year about it.

What, and miss out on playing at the highest level of football for the entire year ?

That would of been his dream ever since he kicked his first footy. Do you expect him to give that up ?

For $6 mill. He can do whatever he likes. Lying is not on at any level.

You know when Ablett had the same "year" as Scully he said NOTHING.

Boak has not signed and he has said NOTHING

It was his press conference that really upset me. Read it word for word. If you take it at face value then he has done a 100% about face.

Had he shut up and said nothing then left so be it.

I took him at his word and thats what cuts.

Had he said NOTHING and left then so be it.

Edit -I now believe nothing anybody says about anything - I have officially been disenscullarised.

I hope the boos are deafening. I want him to be made fully aware as to how the supporters feel about him.

This is really a super lame idea.

If we want to break through our soft image, don't throw monopoly money like some upper class wuss exclaiming "good show" while doing so, just boo the hell out of the guy and jeer any mistakes, that is what real footy supporters would do.

All this idea would do is inspire a look of bemusement and no doubt Sheedy would find a way to ridicule it, so let's take this opportunity to shove it up Scully, but more importantly shove it up EVERYONE who bags our team and us as supporters.

Show some spirit, show some toughness, get an atmosphere going that our players can feed off, that will be far more effective.

BREAKING NEWS:

As part of the pre-game entertainment for the upcoming blockbuster against the GWS Giants, the Melbourne Football Club will hold the first annual "Walk Over the Bridge" from Rod Laver Arena to the MCG. The walk will see hundreds of bitter and resentful Melbourne supporters take the walk to "get over" Tom Scully lying and moving to the Giants at the end of 2011.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
