I don't get it, tragedy? Surely price is no issue for us, and we can now enjoy the ski fields all to ourselves whilst the dregs of society make do with sneaking into Oakleigh Ice Skating Rink.

Due the the European Union falling to pieces , the French Alps are actually cheaper to ski than ever.The only problem being that there are a lot of French there. I'm off to the club for a couple of snorts .

The Couldabeens started this irritating stereotype decades ago and for some reason it regularly pops up on our own fan site ! As we attempt to be a more inclusive club , the "snow" jibe is everywhere - particularly down at the Cattery in recent times.

Personally I'm outraged by this so called Melbourne stereotype. Pure fiction if you ask me. Yes I ski but never on Queens Birthday. In fact I only ski mid week so I can avoid the riff raff, and I would never drive a Range Rover. After all the Discovery is just as good and 20k's cheaper. Bartender one more Jagermeister please before I hit Big D again.

I don't understand why people think being stereotyped as educated and well-off is a negative thing. I would take our stereotype every day of the week over Collingwood or Richmond's.

The only time I get a little annoyed about the Melbourne stereotype is when it implies that I (or we) don't care about our team (I think I'll just go to the snow) and/or that we don't know our own players (go number nine). Edited by Chook

    UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

    Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024.     Demonland Trackwatchers ventured down to Gosch's Paddock for the final week of training for the 1st to 4th Years until they are joined by the rest of the senior squad for Preseason Training Camp in Mansfield next week.
