FFS, how many times especially over recent years have people posted on this board that ......(name an opposition star).... .... is out and how good is that for us? Now we will have an easy game.

And how many times, even when we had reasonable form going in has that come back to bite us??

Why not just face up to whatever the opposition chooses to put on the middle against us and..........kick ass.

i couldnt give a toss if a bout of pneumonia went through the club and forced them to field their seconds - we wants more wins, mono, WINS!

And sure as hell, I do too.

What I am saying is that there seems to be some sort of mentality that if so and so is / are out it will be, to use a term from some other team, a cakewalk, which it usually isn't.

We need to focus on whoever IS there and not on who is not.

i dont think the term 'cakewalk' is running through ANYONE'S mind. I am totally prepared for us to be blown away in the first 20 minutes with or without Pendlebury. I just pray to the Lord (Howe) that theyve learnt a valuable lesson in how good they can be when all 22 give 4 quarters of pure effort, and if they do, perhaps Pendles not being there to rack up 35 touches might get us over the line. So i'll drink to his exclusion.

And I too would have no quarrels with his absence.

Ok last week i said we would beat essendon before the game and we won and this week im very sure the melbourne football club will take collingwood down.

The dee's by 17 points.

The boy's will be hungry for that feeling again and Mark neeld will take melbourne to there 2nd win 100% WE WILL WIN.

Ok last week I put money on Ess to beat us by more than 39.5pts (I thought just so I wont feel so bad when we get thumped)....so this week I will do exactly the same thing.

Even without Pendlebury and possibly Swan, they still have a quality midfield in Thomas, Sidebottom and Beams among others.

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the

We'll break down the Match SIM against North Melbourne and wrap up the preseason with insights into training and our latest recruits. I apologize for skipping our annual season review show at the end of last season. After a disapponting season filled with off-field antics and a heated trade week, I needed a break. Thankfully, the offseason has recharged me, and I’m back—ready t
