Yes that is a positive isn't it - we've managed to irradicate the week on week off inconsistencies of last year.

Yes we are becoming a strongly consistant unit now!!

If he was really gutted he'd put his hand up to coach...

No point being the coach NSC if it isn't in his blood to want tto do it. Mark Neeld wants to coach & is a qualified school teacher...a far better option IMO

How many times does he have to tell you that he doesn't bloody want to coach

What makes you think that he would make a coaches a....hole

He was a champion footballer which doesn't equal champion coach.

What does it take for you to realise that he will never coach.

Thanks for stating the obvious Gaz.

I wish he hadn't added to wait and reserve judgement until after the Tigers game though...

Yeah what exactly does that mean!!! I had my judgement after the Brisbane game - we should never of lost that!

Aah yes the old MFC "Faith in next week" we make an art form about not worrying about today. Helps to always deflect blame.

Politicians live by it!

He must rate our chances of getting over the Tigers.

The only thing I got out of that article is that it is now confirmed Greg Healy is the Footy Operations Manager - previously this had been raised but wasn't confirmed.

I got one more thing out of it, Lyon spoke about himself in the 3rd person.

They have probably been a little busy lately but I rang the club two weeks ago to confirm that Healy was on the board.

And was told he has been since the AGM in early February.

He his still not listed on the MFC web site as a director.

Gary knows it's a mates club. He's one of them and lacks guts IMO because he wants his say but prefers to wear his media hat instead of his MFC beenie. He's smart enough not to drink from the poison chalice that is the MFC coaching job but ready to give it to someone like Neeld who is an outsider and expendable. If he does well Gary will share in the glory. If he fails then no big deal because it's the " same old, same old" and no doubt he will step in again to make the next move. Somehow I don't think he would ever go against his mates if it mean't they had to go to get this club running and proud again. If Eddie can be a larger than life media identity and successful club president, why can't Gary do he same?

Well i think, if you are right, there will be a showdown of sorts because the 30-40,000 people who have been members during the last 4 years will not put up with the tripe we have been served lately for too much longer.

The Boys have got to get on, or be moved on...The Club is bigger than us all.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
