Goodvibes made an excellent post a week, or so, ago where he succinctly enunciated how 3 or 4 players missing can have a major effect on a team's performance. I know it's bizarre to suggest this, but Magner's injury has really been crucial to our recent fortunes. As most have stated for some time, we have a third world midfield and it's still where games are won and lost. Magner's grunt and ability to get the ball moving our way has been sorely missed.

Clearly the players are trying to adapt to a new game-plan and it's going to take time. I'm not overly perturbed as I have confidence in the end result. But it will test some supporter's resolve.

I also have confidence in the end result, I am just unsure of what our list will look like when the end arrives :o

Here's hoping for a better 2nd half

The same could be said about my life as a Dees supporter :)

We in a high training load cycle? Surely there is a reason Port walks all over us

That's right how stupid of me. We are tapering off.

Omg commentators didn't even know you could change your side at half time. Aren't commentators sposed to know stuff???

As rubbish as these commentators are I'm not surprised they have no idea about the rules considering they're seemingly made up on the spot in the pre-season.

We havent improved in 4 years...

Yeah , we have. But it won't show on the Ladder Just Yet. thats the problem, when we grow,,, we can't see the Improvement Until it smacks Us right in the Face, (becomes Obvious)...

We have improved in many areas with our list & individual players, but it doesn't show as a team until we close to success. the weakest link syndrome.

WHERE ARE YOU COLIN SYLVIA?? Has he been Subbed off??

Apparantly couldnt get his hair right at half time due to no mirrors in the changerooms. Was last seen in a corner crying "its all too hard" & snickering "I get paid truckloads to be soft"..........

How can people keep saying this when players like our "Gun" Sylvia has had one kick?? It is just not good enough even for a dress rehearsal

In 4 Years we have not improved....we did in 2010, but have fallen back again....

Are you serious?? Who the hell are you??

I am a passionate Melbourne Football Club Member who donates a healthy portion to the club each year, and buys memberships for each of my family members....

I live in Adelaide, I drive a ute around that is covered in Melbourne stickers, and has a Melbourne number plate....

I rock up to Footy Park wearing my Melbourne guernsey when Melbourne aren't even playing, just to barrack for the opposition...

If I wish to crack jokes, have the odd whinge and talk a bit of BS on my favourite website....

Then I will....

Come here and try and drag me away from my computer.... I dares ya! :)

Yep, thats just confidence. When confidant & centered, the skills flow. When stressed out, the rhythm & timing vanishes in all athletic sports. Even Boxing, timing goes.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
