Had a brief chat with him at Family Day, seems a really focused lad, looks as fit as a mallee bull and pulled up well from the Collingwood game (Bail also mentioned this that they all pulled up well, they're fit!), "looking forward to the Hawks game".

He walked off the ground with the team after the loss without limping. My 'expert' analysis says he'll be good to go in Perth.

Good news for Dreamteamers all over Australia. Not to mention Melbourne supporters.

There wasnt much to cheer about on Sat but I was trmendously enthused by this bloke. He CAN play footy. A bonus.. he CAN actually KICK a footy too, how novel !! He seems very efficient with ball and a no nonsense type. Can we get a couple more like him please...... pretty please :)

Well done on debut James. Probablyone of the few who can be excused not to hang their head in shame.

Absolutely. Even better, he got plenty of uncontested ball as well as contested.

If he keeps up his form it will be interesting to see how he copes with a tag.

Just wanted to bump this thread and praise Magner on his tagging performance on Boyd. 4 games under his belt against an influential player, and limiting him for the whole night was very impressive from what I thought.

Defenitely, super impressed with his game. Don't think Boyd would have gone under 20 possessions a lot in the last few years.

Anyone notice James Magner's boots? There unlike any I've ever seen. I'd love to get my hands on a pair.

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the

We'll break down the Match SIM against North Melbourne and wrap up the preseason with insights into training and our latest recruits. I apologize for skipping our annual season review show at the end of last season. After a disapponting season filled with off-field antics and a heated trade week, I needed a break.
