As per usual when a player is available or rumored to be available, my thoughts turn to what they'll be able to offer the dees.

Paul Bevan is experienced, honest, tough and versatile. Given the fact we are still such a young team, he's experience and professionalism would not be wasted.

I'd personally love to see him on the list. Thoughts?

Might be an option for a rookie spot.

Saw him play live against Ainslie in the Grand Final of the NSW/ACT League.

The Swans Reserves lost by 9 goals and, er, were not great.

Bevan didn't elevate himself above the pack in that game...

Wont play in our defence and I question what he has to add to our FWD line and who else he would hold out.

If you were talking about a midfielder that could offer something, maybe, but don't think Bevan has much to offer.

He'd slot into our back line I reckon as the small back pocket. Hate to say it but I rate him ahead of Bartram and Nicholson at this stage. Reckon Nicholson can overtake him though.

I'd take him.

Funny how people rate other teams hacks above our own.

Bevan and Bartram have the same disposal problems...ie. can't hit the side of a barn.

I'd rather have Urquhart....much more upside.

    UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

    Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft.     Demonland Trackwatchers ventured down to Gosch's Paddock for the final week of training for the 1st to 4th Years until they are joined by the rest of the senior squad for Preseason Training Camp in Mansfield next week.
