And Quite Possibly we were still not Heavily rated...This year opposition Coaches have done their homework on us...very deeply.

Another reason why MM would be the one for us next year and going forward..

We do have talent, it is just right now the belief has been sucked out of the team...that can be quickly replaced.

Didn't they kick 9.22 that day or something...

I mean, we played against them last year in two games but we have got to get over decent displays against Collingwood.

We were shite last year and we still are.

From press reports it's clear that the club has suffered terribly from off-field bickering and divisions this year. No team can be immune from the debilitating effect of such factors. Until the off-field stuff is stabilised, the team will not be able to get it's act together.

Maybe, but that's pretty soft isnt it? That seems to imply that because things haven't gone as the football dept would have liked its acceptable for them to call the season over.

what has happened is what always happens at Melbourne, we believe our own hype and everybody turns up expecting the others to do the work for them. The players that you expect to take a step forward go backwards, the club is administered like a school fete, people stop showing up, the media gets stuck in and everybody gets injured. 100% Melbourne.

I wouldn't call it soft, just reality. History shows that whenever clubs are divided off the field, they perform poorly on it. Supporters might not like to hear it, but it's fact.

I resent that briquette vilifying statement. Some of my best friends are briquettes.

Anyway what did a briquette ever do to you....cheap shot!

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
