You can be absolutely sure that none of your players get fixed up by the match review panel on the Monday after the bye.

Even so Jack Trengove may still feel a bit nervous until the MRP have met.

geelong is easily the best of the bunch.

Possibly, But i consider Geelong an interstate club-They get 8 "easy" games at the Cattery with about 30 opposition supporters.

No wonder it is a slaughter house!!!!

Any team that has Mooney or Hawkins in there forward line should not be successful, so i treat them the same as The Filth, Carlscum or Kennettville.

Why were the Hand bags the only club allowed to keep their home ground advantage, and to actually get just as soft a draw as the Filth???

i rate their midfield and defence.

i wish melbourne had kept hold of the mcg for its own purposes and no one else got to play there except when they played us.

collingwood have done everything very well... but i hate them.

hawks fans are almost as bad as bombers fans. totally clueless.

carlton....visy. nuff said.

west coast are horrible, they are tankers and i hate them. injuries my arse.

therefore geelong best of the bunch.

What I learnt from the bye weekend?

I have no interest in footy when Melbourne aren't playing. I am so disinterested in watching other teams it is probably affecting my ability to make proper assessments of where we are at!!

It does appear though that an inconsistent form line is not an affliction exclusive to the MFC.

What you are happy if Carlscum, or Kennett win a flag????

They are all evil alternatives OD....and if Malthouse is poorly treated it could well help our cause.

Stick with my "anyone but the PIES"

If you have to have a second team mine is Hawthorn so no problem for me.

If we lose to Port all hell will break loose. Here and at the club.

It's not hyperbole. Port is total rubbish, clearly the worst side in the league (yes, worse than Gold Coast). They have no heart, no spirit, no class, no skill and no structure.

If we put in the effort we ought to, we'll win by plenty. At least, we should.

No chance of that whatsoever.

I was watching the Casey game yesterday very near to where Jack was also watching and I can assure you that he behaved himself, didn't collide with any of the field umpires and didn't sling tackle any of the yahoos in attendance. He's clear and may he be as instrumental in beating Port Adelaide on Saturday night as he was last year (but please let the margin be greater than one point).

I learned that my life is a lot calmer and stress free when the dees arent playing.

Im on the lose to Port part ways with Bailey immediately and look to 2012 train. They are a rabble.

Your 2nd team is whorethorn OD....after what happened in '87 & '88??

I could never even consider giving the Dorks any of my time, although i will concede the '89 GF is a pure work of art as a game.

HBO should make a mini series based on it.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
