Discussion on recent allegations about the use of illicit drugs in football is forbidden
  • IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING

Posting unsubstantiated rumours on this website is strictly forbidden.

Demonland has made the difficult decision to not permit this platform to be used to discuss & debate the off-field issues relating to the Melbourne Football Club including matters currently being litigated between the Club & former Board members, board elections, the issue of illicit drugs in footy, the culture at the club & the personal issues & allegations against some of our players & officials ...

We do not take these issues & this decision lightly & of course we believe that these serious matters affecting the club we love & are so passionate about are worthy of discussion & debate & I wish we could provide a place where these matters can be discussed in a civil & respectful manner.

However these discussions unfortunately invariably devolve into areas that may be defamatory, libelous, spread unsubstantiated rumours & can effect the mental health of those involved. Even discussion & debate of known facts or media reports can lead to finger pointing, blame & personal attacks.

The repercussion is that these discussions can open this website, it’s owners & it’s users to legal action & may result in this website being forced to shutdown.

Our moderating team are all volunteers & cannot moderate the forum 24/7 & as a consequence problematic content that contravenes our rules & standards may go unnoticed for some time before it can be removed.

We reserve the right to delete posts that offend against our above policy & indeed, to ban posters who are repeat offenders or who breach our code of conduct.

WE HAVE BUILT A FANTASTIC ONLINE COMMUNITY AT DEMONLAND OVER THE PAST 23 YEARS & WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS THE CLUB WE LOVE & ARE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT.

Thank you for your continued support & understanding. Go Dees.

You think I get Youtube access at work? Come on now.

I barely get Demonland access

They decided to block internet shopping sites too, until they realised we work at a fashion company and they were facing an employee strike. Good times.

Well don't forget to check it when you leave the Prison (I mean Work) The Video i think is exactly what you need to see!!

I'd like to commend the AFL on their fixturing this year. Giving Melbourne a bye, then an interstate 'home' game at the height of the ski season is most welcome. We can head to Buller for 2-3 weeks and catch our 'home' game on tv from our chalets.

Rumour has it once we win 6 flags in a row, and Gary Lyon is the CEO of the NINE network, the AFL will in 2020 move the "traditional Anzac day" clash between The Dees and Gold Coast to the newly constructed Hotham stadium. Vlad will say: "Sure its cold there but our latest expansion team plays in Singapore and its bloody hot there."

I like the idea that we could be a power club in the filth mould and start dictating to the AFL.

Surely ,when Kaspersky and Melbourne want to "grow the brand" we could do a few home games in Moscow .

If we have the right people in place then we would literally never lose -our Mafia friends would simply not allow it .

The chains are on the car ready to go and hopefully our maid has given our Hotham chalet a clean-up prior to our arrival tomorrow.

Our son Ben is bringing up a few of his Xavier College mates. Next week it's Becky and her group from Lauriston.

I missed the season here last year as we decided to head over to Banff in Canada. Just couldn't stand to be in town while the Dees were losing.

My three year old son just scared the living sheet out of me by secretly lurking in the (very dark) bathroom playing with the glow stick he got at a birthday party today. Jesus effing Christ. I'm not certain which of us was more surprised when he came wandering out as I wandered in, but I'm pretty sure it was me.

Probably booking my snow weekend for the first weekend in September - thoughts?

(Also, I try not to post in the He Who Must Not Be Mentioned thread now - it's just going in circles!)

What do you mean 'just'? It's always being going in circles....albeit ever increasing ones

Spot on DC I just had to slap myself.

I was about to look at the thread.

But the moment of stupidy passed.

With no game this weekend I get to continue the brain washing of my Grand daughter.

She is only 6 months old but you have to start early otherwise her Grand mother might win the battle.

I think my best chance is a MFC dynasty starting about 2013 for 10 years.

Do I have a snow flake chance in Hell?

I reckon Mrs. Redleg would know how to fix it. And if she doesn't then go to the opening of Harry on Wednesday and I'm sure Tom Riddle will give you some hints.

I hear the 2012 draft is a ripper. 30+ 'sure hit' players.

I'm so excited that the Demons will be well placed to mine that draft with numerous end-of-first-round picks.

Poor GWS gets a frayed dishrag of a draft to work with. Bwa HA HA HA HA HAAAAA

Scoop Junior wants to and if Mrs. Redleg has no objections I will be there. You can tell who runs my home. Will probably bring KC from Casey if I come and then also WJ will most likely tag along.

Yeah, I'll come but only if, on the way in to the ground (after swinging past you know who's place to pay appropriate homage), we have a nice legal discussion on this subject matter.

Humberto Leal Garcia is a cause celebre in Mexico today.

In 1994, he kidnapped 16-year-old Adria Sauceda, raped her with a large stick, and bludgeoned her to death with a piece of asphalt.

Leal's brother has stated that Leal came home with blood on him saying he had killed a girl. Two of the trial witnesses were present when Leal's brother made these statements.

The police searched Leal's house. They seized a blouse which contained several blood stains, hair and fibres. This blouse was later identified as belonging to Adria.

Other DNA evidence was found on the underwear Leal was wearing that night. That evidence consisted of blood as well as bodily fluid. The DNA test did not preclude Adria's blood type from the evidence tested.

Leal was found guilty of the murder and executed overnight after President Obama sought to intervene and prevent the execution. Read about it here -

Texas executes death row Mexican national despite US government call for reprieve

Even the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Navi Pillay has entered the fray by saying the US breached international law by executing Leal.

UN human rights, get it?

In the past decade, human rights violators have murdered millions of people on the face of this earth and the worst of them have been represented by nations like Sudan, North Korea, Cuba and Libya. Recently, Syria came within a bee's diaphragm of getting on the United Nations Human Rights Commission.

If you commit murder and rape in the US you have a better chance of getting help from the UN than if you're a starving Darfurian.

You are treading on thin ice with that line in this thread WJ.

I won't be in a better mood tomorrow as my favourite horse Briefed, who was running 2nd at Flemington today and was probably going to win the sprint final, bled, then was eased out of the race and will be banned from racing for 3 months.

Are you talking about Harry Potter and one of his characters. I have never seen one of his films. It would be good if I could get the glow stick going again.

Take your case to the United Nations. I'm sure they'll give you a good hearing.

Do they deal with horseracing?

My understanding is that the only business they ever do is horsetrading so I reckon there's a good chance they'll deal with your case.

And if you ask nicely and contribute some hard currency, they might get you that horse back that you didn't want to sell and is now winning major races interstate. DISCO INFERNO by Whispering Jack

Two weeks ago, when the curtain came down on Melbourne’s game against the Brisbane Lions, the team trudged off the MCG looking tired and despondent at the end of a tough run of games played in quick succession. In the days that followed, the fans wanted answers about their team’s lamentable performance that night and foremost among their concerns was whether the loss was a one off result of fatigue or was it due to other factor(s) of far greater consequence.  As it turns out, the answer to

TIGERS PUNT CASEY by KC from Casey

The afternoon atmosphere at the Swinburne Centre was somewhat surreal as the game between Richmond VFL and the Casey Demons unfolded on what was really a normal work day for most Melburnians. The Yarra Park precinct marched to the rhythm of city life, the trains rolled by, pedestrians walked by with their dogs and the traffic on Punt Road and Brunton Avenue swirled past while inside the arena, a football battle ensued. And what a battle it was? The Tigers came in with a record of two wins f

    GAMEDAY: Rd 07 vs Richmond

It's Game Day and the Demons once again open the round of football with their annual clash against Richmond on ANZAC Eve. The Tigers, coached by former Dees champion and Premiership assistant coach Adem Yze have a plethora of stars missing due to injury but beware the wounded Tiger. The Dees will have to be switched on tonight. A win will keep them in the hunt for the Top 4 whilst a loss could see them fall out of the 8 for the first time since 2020.

    OOZEE by The Oracle

There’s a touch of irony in the fact that Adem Yze played his first game for Melbourne in Round 13, 1995 against the club he now coaches. For that game, he wore the number 44 guernsey and got six touches in a game the team won by 11 points.  The man whose first name was often misspelled, soon changed to the number 13 and it turned out lucky for him. He became a highly revered Demon with a record of 271 games during which his presence was acknowledged by the fans with the chant of “Oozee” wh
